Once a very important and impressing castle, is today barely visible anymore. You can see some excavations, but most is left to your fantasy. There is at least a sign which explains the most important facts. So if you are a pure fan of historic sites, it is worth to have a look. We have signs to the location. Arriving here we find some walls brought to light decades ago, now full of grass, rubbish dumped and there. History has no value? Too bad there's nothing for tourism to bring joy, knowledge of the past and plus value to the state budget. The only nice thing found here is in the photo. Not thát much to see but the view over the country was great 👍 We fallowed Brown sign but unfortunately there is Just a small excavation site Recomand Primăriei sa lupte pentru a face aceasta Cetate cunoscuta întregii lumi, sa creeze un grup de lucru/ un departament care sa adune informații si dovezi despre acest oras/ cetate cu care sa creeze Povestea pentru care oamenii sa o viziteze. Grass everywhere and a lack of administrative initiative. It needs more care and attention. The beautiful story of this archaeological site is far, far from being told in a friendly and understandable manner for the average tourist. A very old citadel and not very well preserved or better said taken care of😎 Istorie dar inca se fac sapaturi Ruins of an ancient town. History students have just began to work around the covered walls. The citadel is partially uncovered and there are no touristic facilities. The landscape is pretty great. With a small detour from the main road you can reach a zone with visible parts of the ruins of the fortress that was actually huge in the IVth century and that lies beneath the actual Slava Rusa village. There are only a few arrows pointing around the site and one banner with some limited info. Everything is unguarded and a lot of stones are laying around and you can see that many of the houses and fences from the village reused this ancient stones. It is a pity the corrupt romanian state does nothing to restore of place under a spotlight this very interesting with a rich history archelogical site. Beautiful place, but neglected and not put in its real value. Destul de neîngrijit cu puține informații It is hidden and some local folks told us witch way :) Totally worth it! Small but nice archeological excavations, open fields with great views, some info panels on site, charming village Website change monitoring Monitor any webpage for changes – get instant email alerts when prices drop, new jobs are posted, products come back in stock, or competitors update their sites.
