Such a beautiful place with sweeping views of the surrounding valleys and the delta, makes you feel like you are somewhere in Scotland. We went in mid November and had the place to ourselves. The Fortress offers a beautiful over the Razim Lake and Delta. It is easy to find it and the entrance price is very small - 10 lei per adult. There is a small parking lot close to the entrance, it takes 5 minutes to reach the top from that parking lot. Really nice to visit, especially on the outside, as the is really nice 360°. The interior could benefit from more renovation and it lacks information panels. There is also a small muzeum with impressive information and pictures or what was found around, unfortunately the surrounding from the pictures are not maintained nor available to visit. The is beautiful and the fortress is interesting, even though not so much is remaining of it. The tower part was reconstructed after it fell down and the access to it is now restricted and the "balcony" can't be visited. There is also a very very small museum with some pieces of old pots and a lot of books and posters. It is worth only for the alone as the price is close to free. I would recommend it for a short hike and beautiful views. A place with a special vibe, a unique panoramic opens towards Dobrogea landscape You can find the ruins of the citadel, enjoy the from the top of the hill overlooking the grand 360' landscape and feel the wind almost sweping you away Fortress can be viewed one time. Nice landscape. Great place to visit for the view, the museum inside is not great , a lot of photos of the surroundings and a few actual vestiges. A small souvenir shop with magnets and some spoons but that's it, you pay the tax there as well , 10 lei for adults , 5 lei for children over 7. At the base there is a food truck with snacks but nothing made fresh. Overall a nice place to visit for a walk if you're in the area.
