The castle is lovely! Not exactly what the word “castle” brings to mind, but a lovely clock and fountain and place to stroll around fir a few minutes if in the area. Nice Day out from Luxembourg to here. Mersch Castle is a castle in Mersch, in central Luxembourg. It is the seat of the local administration. The castle was built in the 13th century, and was the seat of the Counts of Mersch. It was rebuilt in the 17th century, and was the seat of the local administration until the construction of the current town hall in the 19th century. The castle is open to the public, and houses a museum of local history. I went that with my family but the place was close. They have a very good surrounding area that can be enjoyed. 👍 great I only visited the entrance which is ruins because the museum is only open on demand from October to April. The facade is beautiful. Used asa wedding venue Home of Mersch Commune so kept in brilliant condition. It's not a tourist spot inside as it is our Commune offices. Outside looks quaint.
