Our friends, one of whom had not been before was rightly impressed, an amazing and adjoining, via a long path, across the flood basin you along a wooden cake walk, you can access the Mersey River, where long walks can be enjoyed, well to its source and opposite way going inland. Great for the intrepid hiker! You must go and sample the delights of this oasis and its flora and forna, you will not be disappointed! and you can along the Messey River. Food stall closed early due to the rain which was very sad for me(I was starving)! But the drink stall was open, I had a lovely hot chocolate, my little doggie had free dog biscuits. It's a place to go to for a walk, there's gardens, nature trails, woodland trails, tennis courts, boggy wetlands and it's surrounded by the river Mersey which means it's quiet easy to not get lost. I walked around it for a hour and then sat down and had a coffee at the food truck. It's a place to pass a couple of hours and see a bit of wildlife. This is a tucked away and quite difficult to find, but well worth it. The only downside is the parking. It has a very small car with only about 10 spaces so street parking does cause a bit of congestion. The walks are easy to navigate and the trees and plants are beautiful. We had a drink from the cafe, not cheap, the food looked and the was well patronised. Local in Didsbury area! Views of various plants, trees and bushes in one place, so close to each other, where different tasty aromatics in the air and breathing and feeling these smells in a mix with fresh air! Also there is walkway through the local nature reserve through the trees 🌲, bushes and other plants 🌱 Also you can longer distances along the river. It rained when we went and it was still stunning Used to be and more of a hidden gem. We got there and it was packed with one woman banging hers and everyone else's shoes for all of a 25 minutes so nobody else could park. The gardens themselves were that packed that you had to concentrate more on getting out of people way than enjoying the little walk. Little waterfall streams weren't active. Just not peaceful anymore and getting ruined by naughty children pulling out the flowers. Lovely place to go for walk. They have limited parking spaces for visitor. It's a beautiful, huge park. Had a little area even sold alcohol. Lots of seating. I went there after 5 pm so the was closed, so I highly suggest you go earlier. As the set up looked so dreamy. Soooooo quiet.
