In my experience, this seems to operate in permanent reverse gear. It took them nearly eight just to give me an answer on a £52k bridging — and even then, I’d only actually receive £40k. Out of nowhere, I was hit with a £1,000 valuation fee that was never properly disclosed. Their excuse? Apparently they “left a question mark next to it.” Completely unacceptable. On top of that, they charged £500 just for the application, before anything had even moved forward. After jumping through all their hoops, they suddenly us we needed extra solicitors to approve our signatures — again, never mentioned before — conveniently costing another £700. Then came even more surprise search fees, piling on cost after cost, none of which had been explained upfront. By the everything was added together, we were looking at nearly £3,000 in unexpected charges. So in my experience, to borrow £40k, we were expected to absorb a £15k loss. Absolute madness. As if that wasn’t insulting enough, they then casually dropped that it would take another 12 weeks. At that point, we quite happily them exactly where to go. Trying to speak to anyone was like shouting into the void — no one answers, no one helps, no one pushes anything forward. After reading other reviews, it’s clear we’re not alone. In my opinion, the service is abysmal, the painfully slow, and the costs completely ridiculous. Avoid if you value your time, money, or sanity Leo Abelson and Scott Hendry are absolute superstars! They are so easy to work with, it's really refreshing to have somone like Leo. He replied to every single of my emails and calls in minutes! He answered all my questions and got us bridging finance in just few days! Scott is so lovely and accommodating he explained us the full and really took his with us. I needed this for an auction purchase, which made the tight timeline even more critical. Despite providing all the necessary information promptly, they dragged things out to the very last day of my completion deadline, leaving me anxious and uncertain throughout. The only positive in this was Amy Morgan from Together. Amy was absolutely outstanding, incredibly helpful, and supportive. She keeping me informed, answering my questions, and pushing things forward when delays occurred. Without her dedication, I doubt I would have secured the at all. Thank you Amy. The single worst I have ever had the misfortune to get involved with. We took out a £30,000 and got into a bit of financial difficulty after a year and missed 3 payments. My repayments incurred FIVE HUNDRED POUNDS A MONTH in interest and it took us 17 years to repay it and then we still had to pay £43,000 to get rid of it. £30,000 ended up costing us about £150,000 over 17 years to repay them. We're going to sue them now. DO NOT DEAL WITH THESE THIEVES!!!!!! Scam alert. Do not use this company. I was selling a for 200k, i bought the 13 years ago for 195k, this scam of a gets a surveryor out to down value my to 100k leaving the buyer with no option to purchase and then asking for every report possible for the sale not to complete! During Covid Together offered a payment holiday with a promise this wouldn’t affect our credit rating,fast forward 3 years and when we apply for a mortgage our credit file has a negative mark from Together. They also incorrectly calculated the interest resulting in a refund and an early exit from the payment plan. Very unprofessional company. If I could give a 0 star I would. Application of a mortgage has taken months as there extremely slow at responding to everything. I’ve bent over backwards for them and agreed to everything they have asked paperwork, bigger deposit etc. they requested my funds was sent to my solicitor last Wednesday, only then would they send funds to my solicitor to complete. Reluctantly I agreed and sent funds to my solicitors last Wednesday. Wanted to complete on Friday and all I kept getting off them was it’s with compliance to sign off. Chased them today numerous times and kept getting the same answer. This afternoon chased them again, to be they would not be giving me the mortgage and with no reasoning. They have cost me thousands in valuations, solicitors, brokers and time. Avoid this like the plague!!!!!!!!! I was very lucky to be supported by Together to purchase a flat in a secure complex before my had sold. Excellent service easy to navigate and very supportive staff. Only for them to turn around and refuse funding on the day of Completion, I was relying on funds for two related purchases which are now going to fall through as I will be unable to secure alternative funding in time. At the risk of 10s of thousands, because of miscommunication. Not willing to resolve matters or accept any supporting evidence which would easily rectify the situation. AVOID Avoid this lender at all costs, I spent thousands of pounds on solicitors costs and valuation fee , I had a decision in principle and a offer , I was it’s 100% agreed on for them to pull out on the day of exchange and completion , I wish I had read all the negative reviews because it looks like this is a very common practice of this lender , avoid them as you will loose your and be left with a hefty bill , I wish I can leave them zero stars .
