This is a lovely park, not massive but very well kept with a couple of car options if driving to it. The has a lake which can be walked round, and grassland which when we went had sheep and lambs wandering around. Its a nice area, if you are expecting a long however, you'll probably need somewhere much bigger - but great if you have small people or just need to take dog out for a stretch of the legs! Poynton is a lovely place for a good around and to explore. It is very popular with the locals and visitors as well. It is also a great place for those who have dogs as well as there is plenty of open spaces for the dogs to run free & be happy. Nice little for a around. Lovely lake with a pathway around the edge. Managed to see the northern lights here. Great size with sheep all over it roaming free. Bonfire night is always good here and I believe fishing is good. You see plenty of rabbits and other animals. Would recommend for a short dog as it's laid out very well and is easy to follow. Plenty of bins aswell and benches Pleasant enough and there can be interesting birds to look at on the pool. It would be much nicer if you could do a circuit right round the pool. Lovely around Poynton Pool. So pretty. Feeding the ducks and swans. This is such a beautiful area with the Lake and areas. One of the reasons we chose to live close-by only recently. Very nice with a large pool and interesting waterfowl; just a shame about the close proximity of the main road. Roll-on the bypass may be a little quieter then! Water Rail spotted twice in recent visits which is good for such a secretive bird! Large expanse of parkland with large pond. Lots of wildlife , especially birds. Ideal for walking the dogs. Small car park. A good rugged around the pool and beyond. Easily do 6 miles, road and field walking, farm views. Big loop on maps, easy incline. Take your walking boots very muddy through the fields at the back! You can see sheep, horses, ducks. Beautiful countryside Great area, quiet place to the dog. Also it's 1km exactly to do a lap so it's a great place to practice my runs. Decent amount of parking aswell. Beautiful place for a walk. Wish they'd clean the water up a bit so you could swim in it!
