Really enjoyed Lancaster Escape, experience started outside the castle for a few clues, then back to the itself. Difficult but very enjoyable Good but not the best I've been to. Solving the clues was very linear so as a team there's not much you can do to help while someone is solving the preceeding clue. We also got a bit confused with some props - and one didn't work as expected - but that's probably our misunderstanding. Had a doing one of the here with a of friends. Good fun and a decent challenge. Our host Georgia was and made sure we were comfortable and had a good time. Would definitely recommend! Been for a second go, still with a nicely balanced challenge. Been here twice now and both were very well thought out and clearly a lot of thought and effort has gone into them. The staff have always been amazing and super helpful and supportive, unfortunately on our second visit we had a blow out on the way and when I called to inform them we wouldn't be able to make it they allowed us to come back on another day without any additional charge which was amazing , not to mention the emergency services discount they offer too which is fab. Highly to all fun, love coming here, staff are so friendly and welcoming, challenging and fun activity for a of friends :) Terrible room... The staff said it was linear but felt badly setup with cheap props, barely usable and falling apart book. Colour lock that had red, green, blue and yellow and 3 corresponding props, green, blue and purple for some reason... They claimed it as pink but the lock was red!! No rhyme nor reason to some of the stuff in the room. Very disappointing indeed. We'll not be back and I'd trying elsewhere. Nice enough venue and lovely staff but outdated simple room. Did the serial killer as a of 4 adults. We probably would have enjoyed it more 10 years ago, but have moved on from lock and combination puzzles and I think this place needs to update. The was creepy enough for a horror room, my sister was scared, but it's nothing that older children can't handle. Bit confusing that the isn't contained, I was able to walk off into storage space and I think another before quickly realising I'd left the room. The was too easy (for a where the least experienced has done 30 or so). It was an ok way to spend half an hour, but I wouldn't be going back to try their other rooms. We went here as a party of 5, we got there a little early and was brought a selection of puzzles to do to get us started. Very nice touch The actual was very engaging and the member of staff who looked after us was very helpful and polite. Have I done better things in the dark with a of people... ;) Maybe. But they aren't the kind of things you review on Google. Good value for money Been here a few times, there are 4 rooms. Done 3 so far and all have been fun. Probably could do with some up keep in one of the (cutting room) but that does not take away from the fun of this place. Plus, they have a selection of drinks to enjoy prior or post experience. There is a paid car park about 100 yards away (but there is a car park at B&M, curries and halfords that is free for 2 hours only a 5 min walk away). I would highly this place. 😀 Really fun atmosphere, a friendly team to host the event and keep you all entertained. Fairly priced with a good range of to choose from. We were all given a selection of small puzzles and games to get our minds puzzle ready, and a drink or two to hinder us maybe 🫠 The detail and effort put in didn't go unnoticed and I intend to return to try my next room. Our completed the noose in 45 minutes experience (my first in an room) Staff very warm and friendly. Well run and lots of fun Super fun puzzles and was nice enough to let us keep going after we ran out of time. Will absolutely be coming back! Went in a of 4 with no booking. We were welcomed straight away and given some small puzzles to keep us busy whilst waiting for the to be prepared. The gentleman who sorted us was super friendly and welcoming. He was very reassuring and answered all the questions we had. The itself was brilliant also, lots of fun. Would highly recommend! We (me and my wife) went to Lancaster last night. It was my first attempting an room, my wife's been to one before elsewhere. So we're newbies really. We chose "escape the noose" where you're witches awaiting execution and have one hour to solve the clues left in a prison cell that housed the Pendle Witches. 🧙🧹 and the hangman's noose! When we arrived we were greeted by Hannah and we had a drink whilst we waited for our slot. Hannah gave us a brief safety talk and briefed us on the rules of the game. Apparently we chose the toughest for our first visit. I didn't see any difficulty ratings when I book but we weren't bothered as we just wanted to go and have fun. The game was great, we really got immersed in it. We did need to ask for a little clue a couple of times but we did pretty well for a first attempt, I think?! We'll definitely be back to try one of the other too. It's good fun and I'd Lancaster Escape. Hannah was lovely, the game and the rules were explained clearly, the equipment you're given (torches/walkie talkie) are clean and all work. 5 Star ⭐ review from us!! Thanks for a fun time! Really enjoyed this. An hour goes so fast. Will be coming again. The antidote was fun and the other experiences sound exciting especially the one involving the castle. Nice 50th birthday surprise.
