Ein wunderbarer Ort, um Natur und Kultur in perfekter Harmonie zu genießen. Santa Maria del Patire is a nice little church in the mountains near Corigliano. It has a nice mosaic floor and cloister. The only real downside is the 6km mountain pass road, even though you can also hike up if you want. Luogo di culto di ammirevole suggestione. Facile da raggiungere, parcheggio comodo, tranquillità e serenità fanno di questo santuario un attrazione da continuare a tutelare nel tempo. Complimenti ai Carabinieri del nucleo tutela ambientale che curano e custodiscono questo luogo con tanta cura. Il parco adiacente è attrezzatp di tavolino e sedute per una bel picnic. Chiesa immersa nel verde sulle colline di Rossano calabro circondato da una bella pineta ben tenuta Angolo sublime di Calabria... si respira l'imponenza del silenzio immersi nel verde pacifico... bellissima Perfettamente tenuto il complesso è veramente una chicca! La chiesa è ottimamente conservata. L' ambiente è davvero piacevole. Consiglio di informarsi bene sugli orari. Abbiamo trovato tutto aperto, anche i bagni sono puliti. L' ingresso è gratuito ed è presente anche un bar! Ci torneremo sicuramente i prossimi anni Lovely place to visit. This was my second visit, both times, to my disappointment the church was closed. The first time scouting the premises i found someone to permit us into the church. my recent visit again church locked, no one about. however as we arrived about 1:30 pm, 2 cars left. NOT A WORD SPOKEN. I believe they were park attendants leaving for lunch. I was told later by a friend they church is locked at 2 pm. I did not find this info on the site. in fact i read open 10-19 hrs. so beautiful place to rest and relax, peaceful but to see and learn very poor.
