Paths are well kept and lots of attractions for young and old. Winter and summer. Some flooding after heavy rains over a period of days. Lovely walks around the lakes, remember to wear your welly boots, great play areas for the kids, coffee available but be prepared to wait, the coffee shop gets busy Brilliant open air plenty of room and things to do for the kids Beautiful lake. We went there for a day trip, great paths, perfect for cycling. Cycles to rent there until 5pm too. Great day trip. Lovely place for children to play. Great walks for those who can. Wheelchair users will struggle on wet days. Needs more rest stops for those with mobility issues like myself. is it allowed to use a paddleboard on the lake? Beautiful please, coffee area really nice and clean, bbq area outside in the summertime and you can rent a bike from March. Lovely park Wonderful open space with lots of activities aimed at young children, we visited today as they had a viking experience on during Easter half term. Our children enjoyed dressing up, making swords and shields and the activity pack was a lovely touch. The indoor cafe offers a great variety of hot and cold drinks, treats and pocket money toys. Very nice place for walking, jogging, or bird watching. The only thing i miss is bins, especially if you walk your dog and go long-distance Stanwick lakes is a nicely landscaped former set of gravel pits along the A45 running between Rushden and Raunds. There are safe but adventurous play areas for children and lovely level well maintained paths that lead you on walks of various lengths taking in waterside vistas, woodlands and riverside walks. There is a per vehicle charge of £3.60 for all day which makes it good value for a family looking to spend a day. For me as a single pensioner it is a little too expensive to visit daily though it is possible to buy a year pass, I think this was around £35 but they also charge £5 for the initial card which again as a pensioner is a bit steep. There is a visitor centre that sells the usual savouries and drinks as well as souvenirs. All in all it is a lovely place but I’m priced out of regular visits especially as there are free places which are similar nearby. Went with son and grandchildren. Impressed with space and variety and one grandson announced that the play area was the best he had ever been to (and that includes quite a few!). We also enjoyed drinks and snacks in the spacious cafe. Although the weather was less than ideal (thunderstorm) we did get to see enough to decide that another trip will definitely be on the cards. Great for families 3 quid parking get a little cash for drinks outside card and cash inside Website change monitoring Monitor any webpage for changes – get instant email alerts when prices drop, new jobs are posted, products come back in stock, or competitors update their sites.
