Booked a table for a Saturday dinner time. Booking is a idea as tables are in demand. were very friendly and eager to please, which made the experience enjoyable. We had the steak specials and from the pic, you and can see they were large and to perfection. The boy wanted nothing on the kids as it's the usual kid stuff, so he asked if he could have half a portion of the wings and ribs - and it was no problem. He really enjoyed them, so next time I'll have the ribs. Ha. Price is normal...around 20 to 30 per head for a decent meal. Sunday lunch for Father's day..... Bit chaotic in the kitchen and service was very slow considering..... By all accounts they serve takeaway food too which seem to take priority over table seating..... Food was delicious to be far..... Wouldn't hurry back but would give it another go.... A local pub with a refreshed look and feel. The Sunday Roast was simple and concise and the food itself tasted great. Would visit again! Popped in for dinner after seeing all the updates from the new management on Facebook. They have done wonders with the place and still have loads of ideas to enact. Ended up having a three course meal because the food was so delicious, everything is made fresh on the day and you can really tell. Scotch egg for start, followed by steak au poivre, and then biscoff cheesecake, it was amazing. The welcome and service was very and a very comfortable place to eat. Will definitely be going back very soon. Lovely place ever so friendly food was 10/10 and the price was fantastic would highly recommend to any one in the area to pop in and grab a bite to eat A charming place to have a casual drink, or a romantic meal. The cannot do enough for you, the is interesting and original with really veggy options, and the quality was great. The pub garden is for adults and kids. They also do little outdoor events for the whole family. Would definitely recommend. A warm welcome for a Thursday lunch time. Nice to have a choice of indoor or outdoor seating. I had the fish finger sandwich. Freshly and tasted delicious. Returned after our walk for beverages. . All W/C 10th November 2005 menu. And some photos of our din dins on 15th November 2025. Very yummy (the pie pictured is actually the ‘pie’ on the menu, not the pudding!). The pubs had a little refresh on the decore now, so looks fresher! And they’ve added a new coffee machine 😏 Had a lovely meal there with my wife and son. Rob was very welcoming, and even arranged for the chef to whip up a vegetarian wellington for me which wasn't on the menu. Tasted great, and then I was stressed to an extra portion of garlic and herb toasties, which were also great. A jazz band were setting up which we couldn't stay for, but I'm sure it turned into a evening. We'll definitely visit again. Food was and were very attentive. Been here a couple of times, had the grilled chicken burger and a few of the small plates. All well and fresh, all food is fresh each day! Burger was juicy and tasted amazing. Small plates were also just right, one of the best homemade scotch eggs ive ever had! Can be busy especially on Sundays! All are friendly and helpful. Ideal for families and just if you want a quiet drink or meal. Went for Sunday lunch just two of us. All made us feel really welcome and the landlord who served us was very entertaining. We both had the three meat roast, it came with a variety of vegetables and roast potatoes all perfectly. I had the biscoff cheesecake and my partner had the crumble with custard which were both delicious. All in all a lovely pub recently refurbished food reasonably priced, with a choice of drinks what more can you need. We will definitely be back. First visit with the new chef, the food was very and my husband’s steak was to perfection. Wine selection was good, I had a glass of the Argentinian Malbec which I really enjoyed so of course I had to have a top up. We received a warm friendly welcome from the owner and the bar who kindly found us a table as we hadn’t booked. I would recommend booking as the pub was busy which created a atmosphere. Need to try their Sunday Roast soon.
