A find, just off the A605, very welcoming team, who greeted our dogs so warmly. The place was very busy, but we were found a spot on the terrace by the wood burner. The salt beef deli sandwich is the best I have ever had. Really generous quantity of excellent beef and just the right level of other ingredients. The menu has lots of other interesting things for next time. For nominated drivers try the low alcohol Lucky Saint, for the rest enjoy beers from the adjacent Nene Valley Brewery. A return visit included a Caesar salad and grilled chicken, absolutely delicious and generous, with a side of peas, beans and sweetcorn. Also recommended is the pork chop and for pudding try the sponge and custard for ultimate comfort food. The terrace is now enclosed with proper walls and a roof making for a new area overlooking the river. The welcome from the team is really warm and genuine, we might only have been half a dozen times but they all seem to remember us. Wonderful. The menu doesn't change much, but if it ain't bust don't fix it. Portions as generous as you can wish. Parking is decent enough and access is good. Visited the Tap and Kitchen on a Tuesday lunchtime based on the Google reviews. I can absolutely confirm that the reviews are 100% right! The styling and decoration of the restaurant is really nice, very industrial. The food was really delicious, my wife opted for a salmon sandwich and I had a pizza, both were very nice. For dessert we had the sticky toffee pudding. Absolutely incredible, it might have been the best I’ve ever had (and I’ve had a lot!). There is a brewery next door which sells really beers. Would definitely recommend! service, tasty steaks and a selection of beer. There is seating overlooking the which is quieter and brighter than the main restuarant. stop over when the Peterborough Services are busy. Make a reservation if you can. This place never misses. The seasonal menu changes keep things fresh, with plenty of crowd-pleasers to choose from. I had a burger this time, cooked perfectly. It’s a lovely spot by the in Oundle with excellent service, making it a place I always look forward to visiting. Excellent food, Had a old fashioned Prawn cocktail, the Marie rose sauce excellent. Pork belly with red cabbage and potato rosti was delicious. The staff were very and helpful. 10/10 Lovely meal my hanger steak was perfect. A selection of side dishes with meal meal. A lovely dessert .Meal more up market. A atmosphere and value for money. A evening out and I would dine here again, one of best places to eat in oundle. Some of the beer 🍺 comes from the Nene valley brewery and got some cocktails service can be bit slow, a busy at times and a popular place for eating. Plenty of car parks space Lovely place to eat. We went on a warm summers evening and they had opened the doors to the wharf and we sat right beside the water which was very beautiful. The food was excellent we all had the Hereford steak and it didn’t disappoint. Service was relaxed but attentive and the staff were friendly. Not the cheapest but value given the quality. Highly recommended. Beautiful place right by the river, the meal was amazing and came very quick, we had the crab for starters and the steak for our main course. The service was and I would definitely recommend this place to anyone! Outstanding - my husband and I treated ourselves to 3 courses for our anniversary last night and it did not disappoint. We sat in the terrace overlooking the and watched the swans and ducks as the sun set. The atmosphere was perfect and the service was great. The food was the star of the show, every dish was phenomenal. For starters I had beef brisket flatbread WOW, it’s making my mouth water just reminiscing, for mains I opted for the celeriac fondant which was a vegetarian dish but the description intrigued me and it was something else! Incredible flavours and textures and perfect for an autumnal taste and for desert I had the burnt honey and sea salt tart, this one blew me away, I couldn’t talk through enjoying this one too much! This place just has it all and does such a job and again! We absolutely love the Tap and Kitchen. The food is gorgeous and very reasonably priced. The fact that it has a selection of gluten-free and vegan options makes going for a family meal so much more enjoyable for my daughter and grandaughter. Today, four of us had the Sunday roast, and it was delicious as were all the meals we had. We had a window table, and it was so to look out at the and watch the ducks while eating. The staff are all so and helpful giving advice when asked about the items on the menu and the selection of drinks. This was my second coming here. Beers were fantastic, but I didn’t enjoy the non - alcoholic cocktail 😬 Food is fresh, Hanger Steak and Burger were delicious. It was busy in the weekend, recommend to book a table in advance. Thank you Team ❤️ - Sunday, 06 October 2024 - Had a lovely evening at Tap and Kitchen, the venue is very nice, staffs are very friendly, helpful and approachable. Food wise, i enjoyed my steak, my husband in the other hand didnt enjoy his as its too chewy for him (medium rare). The manager is very professional and did something about it and we were very happy. The mac n cheese and the scallops are the best! The dessert its really feels like heaven. Had the pleasure of dining here for the first last evening. One of the best dining experiences I have had for a long time. The restaurant is big, but cleverly designed so if not at full capacity it doesn't feel cavernous. The acoustics are just right, so that there is a constant buzz of conversation without it being too loud. The bar area is lovely for a pre dinner drink and the house Chardonnay rather too nice! The welcome is friendly, the staff polite & professional and our food was great. What's not to like?!
