Not too noisy with plenty of stores, restaurants and coffee shops to relax. This is really quiet and very nice, with a long stretch of that makes it perfect for a peaceful walk or relaxing by the sea. It feels untouched by humans, which makes the atmosphere special and close to nature. There’s also a free parking spot, which makes visiting much easier. The only thing to be careful about is the mosquitoes—once it gets dark, there can be quite a lot of them, so it’s to be prepared. Overall, it’s a beautiful and tranquil place to visit if you’re looking for something unspoiled. If you want to swim a bit it’s but the atmosphere it’s not the best one and can be a little bit dirty! Maybe we enter there in a bad day but if you search more you can find beaches near Thessaloniki! At least you can find there restaurants with really prices! Love this when I go to perea. Must go and see. We had a lovely swim even though it's nov During our stay in mid-July, the wasn’t very and had some debris like sea plants, but this is due to natural conditions at that time. Other than that, the was really and enjoyable. Great with clear water, shower and changing space, but unfortunately the it's not that clean, having a lot of smoked cigars and debris, people should be more careful, it's a shame. Beautiful sandy long public with large shelf, so it’s perfect to play and swim. is warm, waves are gente. There are many snack bars and taverns by the with sunbeds and umbrellas for customers (you order snacks or drinks for some amount around €15 when you want and you can spend there whole day). There is also space for your own stuff. Other pros: only 15 minutes to the airport, passenger boat, many shops. Cons: garbage and fag ends in some parts, especially by pier. The sea is and warm, not as blue as I expected, but still very nice! Not very crowded place. Enough. there were two life guards on duty and a fresh shower to use after swimming. A lot of hotels nearby so you can each Ndio swim at the same time. The itself of the rather small and sandy section is about 3 metres from the road to the sea, but it was to walk around, swim, and play sport. Perea is a suburb of the city of Thessaloniki, and is located just about 10km from the Airport...Perea, after the summer season is mainly quiet, but has a long promenade where you can enjoy walking by the sea, sit at some of the restaurants and eat delicious fresh fish, see the clear sea and enjoy the beautiful sounds of the waves. with pier and view. You can see the gulf, mountain and it is very nice. However it is distant to the city of Thessaloniki so you have to take two buses (1.1€) or pay for a boat trip (7€). The itself has some garbage spots but is relatively and offers some trees and bushes that provide shadow from the sun. The itself is really nice, just an hour or so from Thessaloniki. It's easily accessible by bus (although you have to take two buses to get there). I'd recommend to go early in the morning if you want to have a sunbed because during busy periods and hot weather they can be all occupied by mid-day. I think the was clear and really pleasant, so I would recommend this if you wanted to get away from Thessaloniki and spend a and relaxing day by the sea. Keep in mind that the sun was incredibly strong and the little sun umbrella didn't help much, so bring sunscreen with you. The entrance is free but to get a sun bed and a sun umbrella I sat down at Mike's Place: I had to spend at least €8 but altogether it is a deal as they have drinks, food, coffee, and a bathroom that I could use. I left my things on/near my sun bed when I went into the sea or to use the bathroom and it felt safe, I was surrounded by families and other tourists so it was okay. A little beach, with waters. We recommend staying at private bars as they also the sand. We don't recommend eating there though. The is good, there was not holes or deep parts so you could walk far away from the shore so there is room for everyone in the water. Sandy and there is place for everyone though caffee bars took big part of the shore. But in August (maybe the whole year, I don’t know) there was soooo much sea gras and alges that it was overwhelming. Beautiful place, beach. Soft sand, with treasures of pebbles and seashells. So warm in August. Many places to eat and shop. But not so many places to change or shower. There are those there but have to walk a bit to find them. Bus no 71/71A comes there (under 1 hour). Also possible to take taxi (boat) but ticket is 10 euros. We and our 9-11 year old-kids spent a few relaxing hours 11-15h at this sandy suburban beach, 15km south of Thessaloniki centre, on the gulf of Thermakos. Public transport access by OASTH bus no. 71 -only in July-August, from Thessaloniki centre to Paralia Perea, takes approximately 60 min. Alternatively take any bus to IKEA-bus interchange, then bus 72 to Perea or other neighbouring beaches. You could also catch a private tourist boat sailing from Thessaloniki White tower or Port to Perea or Nei epivates, 10€ on way, 16€ return ticket/p, takes approximately 1h one leg. Perea is 5-10m wide, sandy, unfortunately not clean, not clear -if compared to most of Halkidiki, and lots of algae near entrance on our sunny (33 degree Celsius) date of visit Sunday 4/8/2024. Not much natural shade, so effective sun cream, screen and umbrellas mandantory to avoid sunburn! Sunbeds from 8€! Many taverns along a narrow promenade offering local and tourist food options. access free, life guard, few showers and mobile (Dixi) toilet cubicles available along the beach. Overall a family escape from the summer heat in the city to enjoy, if you are in the wonderful Thessaloniki-area!
