I did 2 weeks work experience here when I was 15 years old at school in 1982 / '83 because I always lived animals and wanted to be a vet or run kennels & a grooming business myself, among other aspiring dreams as a youngster before learning what the real world is like ! Anyway I digress ! It was a great experience, I have never forgotten & I liked it here, with the Dogs & Cats & Rabbits, I used to voluntary walk & bath them while other staff were having tea breaks cos I hated to know they were locked up in kennels awaiting rehoming so wanted to get them out as much as possible ! My family came to visit me while working there & unfortunately my sister got her finger badly bitten to the bone by a Rabbit, she was stroking, never knew they had such sharp incisor teeth but of course they do! Very friendly staff, lots of lovely cats to choose from. We found our lovely Esme here, hopefully the visit will be fine so she can come with us! The reception can be a little noisy at time with dogs, but overall it's an excellent cat shelter. The good opening hours at the weekend make up for the inability to go during the week. Make sure you get there exactly at opening time, on a weekend, as all the cats go very quickly! Lovely people doing a great job! 👍👍👍 I have very fond memories of the RSPCA, having volunteered and rescued many years ago, so I know first hand the care and dedication they offer. I like to pop in and donate and love attending their functions when I can. Having got a new dog 🐕, I couldn't possibly come away without buying something for her 😍. This harness is just the softest, kindest harness, no rubbing, which I also bought for my previous 3 dogs 15yrs ago. I have had cats from Milbrook since i was a child, my three current babies are from here and they have grown up so happy. I have volunteered here for years - but not as much or for as long as those on the Friends of Millbrook Charity. Fabulous people and of course amazing animals! Lovely for pet rescue and pet supplies We adopted our cats here, the process was so simple and we are so happy Adopted another puppy from here. The animals are extremely well cared for. Highly skilled staff. Lovely and knowledgeable, and the aftercare is Brilliant. My partner and me had arranged to see a cat in Maidenhead. We checked distance time etc and it showed 45 minute journey from our home. We set off earlier than required, however, even on a Saturday the traffic was‘very’ heavy. Rather than 45 minutes the journey took 90 minutes . We we’re at last around half a mile away from our destination when we received a call to say the person had decided to cancel our appointment or asked us to come back later. Despite saying we were literally there she told my partner she was cancelling the appointment and hung up. We spent 3 hours of our time on a wasted journey. Also: Your website needs badly updated. Animals should be shown in area/ centre by which they’re held, not randomly. Also, correct distances need to be shown. In our case, the centre was shown as 8 miles from Farnborough, when, in fact, even by AA Route Map it shows ‘min’ 45 minutes. We continue to look for aa cat, but only in nearer areas and where staff have a modicum of good customer service. Theyre so lovely and amazing. They do such great work and were so kind and accommodating of our children too Adopted Gabriella (now known as Bubbles) back in September 2022 as Dad wanted another cat due to his old cat passed away, me being at work and him left on his own most of the day. The volunteers were very helpful and giving advices about Bubbles being FIV positive. They looked after her as much as possible until someone like me was ready to adopt her. The day we got her home, she was shy but did come out of her shell within 2 weeks, she did not have a lot of fur (most of her fur were very rough around the edges) 1.5 years later, she is the most loveable, gentle and intelligent cat I ever seen. Always loves her pets, greets me everytime I come back from work, loves to meow in a cute way and never bites or scratches any of my stuff except for her own. Thank you RSPCA for this special cat. Adopted our cat Marley from Millbrook The RSPCA and the RSPCA foster carer looked after him really well given his injury and medical issues. The adoption process was seamless. The RSPCA Milbrook were quick to respond. The foster mum was welcoming, experienced and kind. What's not to like? I wish more people would be prepared to adopt an animal in need regardless of what they look like &/ or their injuries/ medical conditions. All animals deserve a loving home. Lovely people there, very helpful, and the two cats we brought are doing great Attended in person to volunteer, sent to website Website change monitoring Monitor any webpage for changes – get instant email alerts when prices drop, new jobs are posted, products come back in stock, or competitors update their sites.
