Nice selection of with both and savory options. There is some seating inside and very limited seating outside. On a less busy side street. Turnover is very high and there always seems to be people lined up to get some. Nice staff and they take credit cards too. TIP: If you like coffee then be Greek and be sure to get a frappe to go along with your bougatsa. This is a good place to try the famous Bougatsa, a Greek fillo pastry pie with savoury filling or a not too semolina custard filling, both options are and at Giannis they make them in the way and it's super fresh, straight from the oven, exactly how a needs to be eaten. The savoury is the star here. We also tried the and ham version with a slightly different pastry but the classic is the best. The service is fast and efficient, there are a few tables outside or you can just take it with you and go sit by the White Tower looking at the sea. Die leckerste in Thessaloniki Amazing place to start the morning at. The pastry is very flaky and comes in different fillings, not just the vanilla. I really recommend the meat version! One of the best spots to taste authentic in town! We visited as a family and tried both and savory options — everything was fresh, warm, and delicious. The crust was perfectly crispy and the filling generous. Staff were friendly and fast despite the long line. Prices are fair, portions are satisfying, and the vibe is local and real. Definitely worth a stop if you’re around! Tried the custard with sugar and cinnamon and a savory one. Both were cut in front of me and served with no fuss or frills. But were delicious, crispy on the outside and creamy on the inside. The was hot with a great pull. You should try it if you haven't! I loved my experience here, the kind owner was cheerful and explained to me everything there is about the food, ended up choosing the flavor with chocolate milk, and it tasted great! Nice place, with big variety of different pastries. We tried with cheese, and one with cream. Both were freshly cooked and delicious. Be aware that it is a bit popular and touristic place, so you may have to wait a bit in a queue. Arrived at 8 am to savor their Bougatsa—friendly service, efficient, and top-notch quality. Clearly distinct from the hotel's breakfast version! 😆 Opted for the one with cinnamon and powdered sugar—a delightful choice! Today is really a windy day 💨💨💨 It seems that this place is a legitimate institution in the city, and eating here felt like you went back in time 40 years. You can tell it's original and potentially still held within the family. This is a proper 'bougatsadiko' which is a shop that specialises in bougatsa, the famous dessert of the city of Thessaloniki. We got there in the morning and the came out hot and fresh. 10/10, if you travel to the city, you must go and eat here. Goes well with a Greek coffee. Kremalı tarçınlı börekleri gerçekten enfes. Peynirli börekleri en güzeli. Peynirli ve kremalıyı denedik. Her ikisi de güzeldi. Η καλύτερη μπουγατσα στο κεντρο The most famous of Thessaloniki... meters away the iconic symbol of the City, the White Tower. Old recipe for a either spinach, cheese, meat or custard cream... Just mouth watering & yammi! We ate very and enjoyable pastries (bougatsa). I tried the cheese, spinach and ones. They were all delicious. Ideal for a quick snack and breakfast. Thank you for smile faces and services.. The pies were absolutely and truly traditional. The only downside was the lady at the counter, who wasn’t very friendly. Luckily, the gentleman serving at the tables was very kind and made up for it. I've had before, but this was something else, plus a lot of assortments/pies, with a lot of flavors. And very good Mr. Giannis, he knows how to keep his customers coming back. The best we had in Thessaloniki. Various options are available, but the one, dusted with cinnamon and sugar, is simply the best. A clear recommendation for your next breakfast. We will definitely come back! It was my first try, was better than salty one with cheese. The was not too and the herbs & onion in the potato pie made it taste 😋 The pastries were well wrapped and we should have checked before heading off to sightsee. Lesson learnt - unwrap your pastries if you're not eating them straightaway to maintain the crisp 🙂 The number 1 place in the city. We tried all and all were fabulous. However the spinach one is just out of this world. Wow. Probably the most famous in the city, it lives up to its name both in taste and service. Polite and helpful staff even at the busiest of times, good prices and tasty products. Peculiarly the shop is decorated in rastafari style but that doesn't deduct from the quality of the food. We tried the cheese, meat, spinach and with spinach being our favourite. It reminded my wife of her grandmother's pies. The best in all of Thessaloniki! Everything is available right up until closing time, which is great. Be prepared for long lines and waiting times on weekends. Tip: Go during the week to avoid the crowds. My personal favorites are the and the spinach – absolutely delicious. Prices are very reasonable. Another tip: Get your to go in a takeaway tray and enjoy it by the sea – perfect experience! A must-try when you’re in Thessaloniki! Came early in the morning. Αντονις (Antony) was wonderful and we were able to communicate with my little Greek speaking skills and his little English. Really felt welcomed. The bogasta! Superb! Don’t forget to get a Greek coffee with it! Best so far!!! My friend and I tried a few different Bougatsa, with cream, cheese, ham and cheese, chocolate and cream. All of them were very delicious. The filo pastry freshly made so I could easily tell the different with what I had before. Highly recommended if you like to try authentic Greek 😋 Η καλύτερη μπουγάτσα της πόλης !! Mutlaka denenmeli... Tasty and 🤤 lovely stuff Oh how I dream of the sweet, delectable Bougatsa. Hands down, ΜΠΟΥΓΑΤΣΑ ΓΙΑΝΝΙΣ makes the best I've ever had. One day I'll be back! A little busy but worth the wait. Friendly environment and great service. We got the classic with cream. The puff pastry was and the was very tasty.
