The place looks like is going out of business. Barely anyone there, the food wasn’t that great or didn’t look appealing. We stacked to simple drink and a sandwich. As for the place , tables were dirty or cluttered with leftovers. We had to clean our own table since no one was coming to get the dirty stuff. They had at least 3 people working behind the bar area and barely any customers. Can blame previous customers for being slobs and the workers being somewhat unmotivated to work hard for little money they get paid for. Fresh bread, pastries,good price. Staff friendly Quiche with atum👌delicious. Good Pastel da Nata and coffee. There are a few tables outside as well. I will return. Went in for just a look. Saw all the locals having their lunch n tea there. Got their made ready mash n minced meat dinner n some dessert. Delicious meal. Stopped by for a coffee, grabbed some excellent bread, sat outside in the sunshine and watched the world go by with a friend. Friendly customer service. Location is excellent with the market next door and a cashpoint within a few steps. The display of cakes and pastries was enough to tempt a saint, but we had just eaten in the marketplace... next time! Best in town and they speak fluent English. My go to bakery in Horta. The staff is helpful. The padaria is close to the post office ,library and bank.
