We played in a Mizuno Pairs competition this week (September 25). The clubhouse is impressive & welcoming. Breakfast & lunch were both delicious & the staff helpful & friendly. The course is a mass of bunkers, some exceptionally long, others arranged so the hole looks like nothing but bunkers & some so deep it’s best to consider escaping sideways if you are unlucky enough to find a deep one. Having said that there is usually a safer option that takes most bunkers out of play but often leaves a much longer approach. Plenty of water surrounds & streams cut across fairways. Some of the par 4’s are very long so in all, a difficult challenge for any golfer. Unfortunately the were not up to the standard you would expect for a £120+ visitor per round course. They had been heavily sanded leaving parallel ridges over the whole surface that often caught the ball & pulled it offline. I would definitely like to return though once the have recovered as it’s a spectacular place to play golf. was visiting around chart hills and came up spontaneously for a round. pro shop and staff were very friendly and gave me a teetime. the practice area where spotless, and the course is just phenomenal. i was all on my own, waking the beautiful course. love to be back! Cracking golf course in excellent condition especially for the time of year.... Everything about chart Hills is great from the service you recieve as soon as you arrive to the practice facilities and the tough golf course! We also stayed in the newly created barn accommodation which is excellent. Really nice sized rooms with a communal area to sit have a chat and a few after round beers... Would highly recommend a stay at chart Hills. Oh and an excellent breakfast is thrown in for your stay. Great Golf Course. Would recommend, despite the fees. Great experience. Wet course after the bad recent weather but a really nicely laid out course, some really beautiful holes and the facility itself is top class. Great bar , good practice facilities and superb pro shop with really friendly staff. Half way house was well stocked. Look forward to visiting again when the sun is shining. Such a shame as the course layout is great the different tees make the holes play completely different, the clubhouse is great as are the staff…… but the were shocking and I mean SHOCKING. Spoke to the guy in the pro shop and he said they’d carried out some maintenance work recently but the issues were more than that and if it was just the maintenance then I don’t understand why the weren’t at least rolled. They were slow, bobbling ALL over the place . It was so frustrating as you could play good golf tee to green then it was a lottery when putting. Got to be honest and say it was an absolute liberty to be charging full money with like this I’ve played better at courses at a quarter of the price. Amazing course! I don't understand why there are negative reviews on TripAdvisor about the - they are playing beautifully and ball runs true. The wildlife around the course is a huge bonus. Staff are polite and the whole place is well managed. Greenfees aren't the cheapest but you get what you pay for. Daylight robbery - got to be the worst in Kent. I have played many courses and can honestly say these are the worst I've played on in years - complete lottery when putting - apparently a lot of money was spent on the course, but somewhere along the way the got completely missed. Really sad, because the course is a great layout.
