Joined this place via the kent one you scheme to try to regain and keep my health up as I am disabled. I go 3 times a week and absolutely love it. They need to fix the showers in the men's changing rooms as only 2 work. And it would be nice to have lockers that were useful having to find a padlock us irritating. But all that said this has made a difference to my life thank you. We went to a Lego brick festival here. Although some organisation went a little wrong, it was overbooked. We managed to park. Was very grateful the sports hall let us use their toilets. And we had a wonderful time when we eventually got to the front of the que and went in. We swim here regularly and my daughter has gymnastics lessons too. The pools are good: (nice warm learner pool, large 25m pool, diving pit with about 6 boards) but there are no waves, slides or anything like that. We've been very happy with the gymnastics. It's a pre-school class, but the teaching is very good. It's accredited, so is much more than just a play session. After a recent refurbishment, the café has been moved from its lovely gallery situation overlooking the pool, into a dark downstairs area, which is a shame. The vacated gallery is now a small soft play area, which we've visited for a birthday party. It was too small for my 6&8 year olds, but the 3 year old enjoyed it. Oh dear what a poor excuse this facilty has become. I and my girlfriend regularly attended badminton and it was fine but a few problems were to crop up. The nets were rarely set up before hand and someone would actually come along to do it as a session was about to begin eating into our time. No manager around at the weekends to sort things and now to rub salt in the asking price for a slot has gone from 7 pounds to 15 pounds. Disgusting greed to be honest 😒 Extremely poor equipment and service. If you want to cancel your membership, you will have to pay an extra month which is extremely unprofessional. I notified them in the middle of the month, but I was forced to pay the next one as well, the reason being that my payment is on the beginning of the month. Honestly if I could give this place a 0 I would. I have been a member here for the past 10 years on and off, out of necessity, being the closest and only I can walk to. But these past two weeks have tipped me over the edge. They’ve decided to shut at 8:30, without any email warning or app notification. This meant they kicked me out the gym mid workout, without having any prior notice. This has also meant all slots available to me outside of my work hours have been stopped. I’m training for a triathlon for charity and can no longer train as needed. On top of this frustration, no mention of getting any financial rebate for this. And when questioned on whether I’d still have to pay for an extra month if looking to quit. They said I’d have to take that up with head office. This is absolutely appalling. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS GYM Soft play is filthy! It's just disgusting 🤢No one bothered when I asked to have a look and clean. Receptionist asked lifeguard to clean!! Ridiculous, very unprofessional. Booking a tennis court at TWSC in 2024 was £12.5, they have now increased it by 76% to £22 for a 50 mins session....courts will be empty, and kids will be priced out from playing.....a terrible move! It seems they are actively trying to get less people to use the centre... The repair works are slow, often have either the doors broken, or showers with no hot water. Introduced a fee for missing the classes on a short notice. Reception team unfriendly. Wouldn't allow you to use anything until the fee for missing a class is paid. However, when they inform you on a short notice that the class is cancelled, or not informing you at all, that's totally fine. the only sports centre in tw and communication 0,they lied that all members were informed by email that no for 2weeks..they have a portal where if you would check you would see ,next session ...another fail..why have a portal if its not functional??!!Come on guys ,do your job!!Then my son gone from level 3 to level 4,they get a little certificate for each level...guess what I have asked the last 2 months...same answer...it's been ordered..I place orders in China and I get them within a week...where do you get your orders from??? The female changing rooms are disgusting especially around the toilet/shower area. The soft play area nothing worked in there ( snack machine/ coffee machine) Then when I was ready to leave i stood by the buggy exit for about 3 mins with my boy trying to get out, there was 2 people working at the front desk the girl looked at me a couple of times and didn't even bother letting me out. My sister also said something to her as she left to be completely blanked like she wants even there. We definitely won't be returning what a waste of £26! Baby pool is so outdated there are multiple holes in the ceiling. Just not a very good experience considering I've been coming here for the last 20 odd years! This has everything you could want from a council leisure centre and in many respects delivers a better experience and opportunities to some other local private members clubs. The people who work here are horrible especially the people at the gym. They tell me i cant do one thing but tell me i can. Each member tells me a complete opposite of others so when i do something i get shouted at and kicked out. Sogol is a great instructor for the Stage 2-3 classes. She is passionate about and deeply care about all the students having a great time, staying safe and learning solid skills. She is very open with communication and consistently offer feedback and suggestions. After a few classes with Sogol my son is now significantly more comfortable in the water and is learning how to properly swim. We are greatful for having Sogol as our son’s instructor!
