We visited the Limeseum in 2021 and enjoyed the little tour built on the life of a Roman soldier that settled in that area. The whole exhibition was very well structured and tought us a lot about the history alongside the Roman frontiers (aka limes in Latin hence the name). This is a great museum for understanding the Roman Empires 'hold' in Deutschland. Go visit👍 With a better cafe it would =5⭐. Small municipal museum with a modern concept. Children as well as adults can interact with objects and displays to learn about the Roman limes in general and the nearby former Roman camp. Outdoors, the Römerpark invites you to walk through history and experience the size of the Roman settlement as well as the Roman marks on the landscape. Very informative and interactive " museum " with stunning views . Small Roman re-enactment group was performing all day and into the early evening which created an authentic Roman atmosphere . Large areas of the Roman Fort is marked out with bushes showing the layout of town in 150AD . Very child friendly, fun and informative.
