It is an artificial alpine located near the village of Fondo at about 1,000 meters above sea level in Trentino-Alto Adige. It is a very popular destination in high season and on weekends, so it is better to visit early in the morning or outside peak hours if you want more peace and easier parking. One of the beautiful place to see in Trentino, is beautiful but the cave path which starts from the or beginning of the village is stunning, easy to walk around but better to wear comfortable shoes and little warmer clothes because it's quite cold inside, absolutely worth to visit, around 2-3 km walk middle of the nature 🪾🏡🌳 Nice place to visit. You can visit also a watterfall, a canion and a city near. Beautiful (artificial) reachable directly through a natural path from the nearby village (Fondo) From a called "Emerald lake" I had high expectations... it's just a green (slighly dirty) artificial lake. Vety disappointing, definitely not worth visiting considering all the gorgeous lakes in the region. We had time to kill after visiting the canyon. Great hiking, biking, pizza and food. Overall a great experience to spend a day or two. Really nice and calm place! Short walk but beautiful views.
