Overall: great dining experience. We went there for lunch and loved the food, everything was just so good and also the service was so nice. We started with some oysters (so tasty) and percebes, followed by amêijoas and then ovos rotos and everything was so good. At the end we had a prego for “desert” and meat was just amazing, we even considered having another one but were just so full. The only negative aspect was that we had to wait for like 30/45 minutes for the table but in the end it was worth it. Traditional food, made with passion and years of experience serving amazing food. Highly recommended. We stopped here on our way from Lagos to Sintra and we’re not disappointed! The recommendation came by way of a fellow traveller’s blog (ola Daniela). We were immediately intimidated by the menu (in Portuguese) but our server (we’ll call him tats) immediately came to our rescue and described each item in sufficient detail to allow us to pick some fabulous dishes. We had the croquettes, grilled tuna, sautéed shrimp, warm goat cheese and tomato salad and all were fabulous. Excellent local wine was recommended and we loved every bite and every drop of wine. Amazing find - We went for lunch right when they opened since we were passing through town and the food was amazing. Great service, very good food and very reasonable prices. We had the razor clams and octopus. Both were very well cooked and fresh. I would highly recommend if you are in the area.
