We were looking for some food near the charging station. They have a veggie burger that resembles and tastes more like a vegan chicken patty. Regardless, their fries were decent. Don’t order the avocado, as it’s some type of avocado mash that is deep groped and greasy. Handy place next to the highway. The fries were very salty, the brochette too and didn’t have a great taste. The rest was mediocre at best. Friendly though GREAT fries and burgers, absolutely friendly and they speak French, English German and Dutch. Road signs along the highway directs you straight to the Baraque. For me it's kind of a tradition to stop here when driving along that highway. A good stopping place near the motorway. We had vol-au-vent and a burger, both were good and the service was quick. Another good point is that they serve food non stop between lunch and dinner when all other places are closed. I am not sure if you can ask for much more. The place is nice, but the menu is too poor, difficult to choose something healthy and tasty. Very kind and beautiful atmosphere. Just reviewing to whinge about the ordering system. A sunny summer’s evening and I saw this place as an oasis in a desert, serving chips and beer, perfect! It wasn’t too busy but there were some people. Anyway, I go in to order for the ‘outside’ bit on the right and there are about 5 or 6 people ahead of me. Nobody on the counter seems to be serving anyone. After about ten minutes, I realise that the guy at the front of the queue has been using a single machine to order his food, and there are still about another 5 people ahead of me. I assume maybe he was just slow and continue to wait. The next woman takes another 10 minutes using the same machine. I estimate it would have taken another 20 or 30 minutes for me to even get to the machine to order ,and then I’d still have to wait for the food itself. Sadly, I then had to leave without ordering as I needed to finish my bike ride before sunset. It’s pretty ridiculous that a fast food place could be so slow and only have one machine for customers to use, especially when there were 3 or 4 behind the counter not doing anything (okay, they were cooking). Either get your taking orders or get more machines in. It was such a damn shame that it was so incredibly slow in there, as a beer and a burger would have been the perfect stop on my evening cycle, but I couldn’t wait around until 2100 to get it. (Arrived about 1915) Nice place for some (fast) food along your journey. Lots to choose from including many Belgian beers. Prices however, are way too high in my opnion. Check the menu and judge for yourself. As for the customer service, it would be appreciated if the would be able (or willing ?) to speak Dutch and/or English instead of only French. Note: the establishment is situated naar the E25, the route du soleil, used by many tourists. We needed to make a quick stop to charge the car and grab a coffee, and this place was perfect—cozier than the usual roadside snack bar, although the prices are a bit higher. With nine fast chargers available, we were back on the road in just 20 minutes.
