There were three Waiters. One was not smiling, he does not seem to care about being friendly to the Guests. Second Waiter was a bit older than the two, he seemed to be very attentive and friendly. And third was Italian Waiter who does not speak Swiss/German, also not English so we had hard time asking how they are cooking their Pizza. It was rainy that day so we did not have the chance to sit outside. But I just love Switzerland so I still enjoyed their food. By the way, almost all nice Italian restaurant serve bread with olives and butter, they did not have anything for all the guest. It would be nice to talk and eat a bit of bread while waiting for the food. Must be new management. I am not sure. I still give it a four stars because of the nice view. Fabulous view!! The staff is very welcoming and friendly. During the evening they could have been a bit more attentive. The pizzas are really delicious and they are quite flexible with diatery restrictions. Gnocchis were okay but nothing special. The desserts are really tasty, from coupes to tiramisu to affogato - all very good and great price for value. Will be back for sure! I’ve been there with my Italian friends and I can confirm it’s real Italian food, the food quality is superb. Food was good but not exceptional. Staff was very busy and not attentive. In fact they started to clean and move stuff instead of checking first who needs something. We where served wrong food as well as wrong drinks. So while the is spectacular, the Staff could do with more training La Vista offers a wide array of choices and has an amazing of Zurichsee. However, the food is mediocre and the restaurant atmosphere is dated and not memorable. The service was fine but again not outstanding - quite functional. Found a stone - yes a stone like you would find on your driveway or pebble beach - in my risotto. Thought it was one of the seafood shells but it was a stone. A quick sorry from the server but that was it. Guess there’s time for everything. Sadly we won’t be returning but wish them all the best. I’ve been to many places in Italy and tasted seafood all over, but I’ve never had calamari this good before! I never would have thought that I’d find the best, freshly fried calamari here in Switzerland, where I live. Absolutely delicious. I can wholeheartedly recommend this Place. Amazing view, good coffee, a bit slow service, but the WORST carpaccio de manzo in my life! I ordered the beef carpaccio, but unfortunately, the slices were soooo thick that I couldn’t even easily cut or chew them. The texture felt unpleasantly like chewing raw meat, and I ended up having to spit some out, which made me feel unwell. I only managed to eat about one-third of the portion before I told the waitress about the issue. The waitress was kind and offered to replace the dish with something else, but by then I had already lost my appetite and was feeling a bit sick, so I declined and asked her to pass my feedback to the chef. However, I was surprised to see that the dish was still included on my bill, even though I couldn’t eat most of it. This was disappointing, as I would have expected some gesture of goodwill under the circumstances. I didn’t make a scene and we still paired everything, but will not come back again. My favorite restaurant! I come here almost every week and it never disappoints.
