We booked a in this garden, but when rain was coming, they were attentive enough to warn us by phone. We decided to proceed and had a private by a fantastic guide. During the a big thunderstorm started, and in the end we were all soaking wet, despite umbrellas, but it was great. Truly beautiful, romantic spots all over, lots of information, can't get any better. Highly recommendable! Very nice up in the hills above Alassio. It’s essential to buy a ticket in advance as the tours occur at specific times. We were shown round by David who was excellent - very knowledgable about the history of the and it’s plants. Lovely (only option to visit) led by actual people working in the gardens. You will love this place if you are à keen gardener. The are not on free access, you need to book a guided on line. The lists 80 min. It is a really beautiful place. The flowers and the plants are organized is a creative way. Some practical information: there are only guided tours hourly, last one in the morning at 11.30, in the afternoon at 15.00 and at 17.00. Check the website for reservations. You cannot park at the so you have to find a place down in the city which is not easy. Than take a walk upstairs:) worth the visit, it is actually a must have! You have to book on one of the guided tours (we had David who led us around and spoke fantastic English) and it is the most delightful find above Alassio! Astonishing gardens, beautiful views, and very nice guides. Highly recommended. I visited the last year in August. Now I have returned for dinner. Unique. Worth every penny. What a beautiful garden!!! Our guides were so kind and knowledgeable, speaking Italian and English, so you can go if you don’t speak Italian, and a true oasis just near the city. My husband and I truly enjoyed it! A must see if you are in Alassio! Our guide even offered to take pictures of us at certain lookout points, and it was so easy to book in advance on their site. Highly recommend. Great itenary, guide was very knowledgable and though the was planned in Italian she explained it in English as well. A botanical heaven which can be visited year round. We visited in July, but each month adds a different seazonal variety. Like to cone back and see it in spring. Beautiful garden, worth the visit. Reservations are a must. Parking is difficult and it’s a bit of a hike to get there so arrive early. The guide was wonderful, engaging and gave the in both Italian and English. He was very easy to understand. we had a guide with Nahuel and it was a wonderful experience. The itself was magnificent, we got beautiful pictures. The was in italian but Nahuel translated everything he said to us in english. We learnt a lot about the and overall this was very enjoyable. Do not miss this if you are in Alassio. The are gorgeous and incredibly varied, and we had a fun and informative tour. We especially appreciated learning about the pink peppercorn tree, since we saw them everywhere afterwards. Thank you Davide!
