I went to Pasqualini caffè to have a "coffee degustation", the way you go to a winery and want to have a wine degustation to eventually buy wine. Well..., at Pasqualini caffè, I asked for a degustation, but they charged me for the one espresso I had. Weird concept of offering a degustation! I know they also have a small area where you can sit and have but to me, there is a difference between coming to a place to buy for home and wanting to try the product, and coming leisurely for a single cup of coffee. In any case, the is very mediocre! It is unfortunately terribly bitter and astringent and heavy on the stomach. When I told friends that I went to Pasqualini caffè, they told me that "it was wasting my money through the window if I bought my there" and they dared me to try the from Lidl, from all places. Believe it or not...the espresso bean they have at Lidl make the best espresso cup! Who would have thought!!! And my friends were right about the price difference. I call that with a smile! My suggestion: do as I did! Go to Pasqualini caffè and then buy espresso beans at Lidl and judge for yourself :-) What a place. This is a must for addicts when you visit Liguria! In my opinion Pasqualini is one of the best makers in the area. Nice place with good ☕ If you are passionate then this place is one of the few where you get really good and all the rest is simply excellent. The place where people know what they are doing and they love doing it. Their has always been the family favorite, unfortunately I cannot find it in retail where I live (the Netherlands).
