Sono tornato qualche tempo fa al Forte Leone dopo vari anni trovandolo esattamente come lo ricordavo: monumentale ed affascinante. Giunto in loco verso le 12.00 🕛, ho iniziato la mia visita salendo 🚶🏻‍♂️ sull'altura che costeggia il fianco destro del complesso. Da qui, un'apertura sulla rete di protezione (vedasi foto 📸 allegate 📎) consente di accedere al camminamento di ronda lungo le mura esterne. Lo stesso, benché non completamente percorribile, si presenta tutto sommato in discrete condizioni. Tramite alcuni gradini, si scende quindi verso la galleria interna che attraversa la casamatta in cui erano alloggiati i cannoni (sono perfettamente visibili le apposite nicchie). Davvero impressionanti questi angusti e claustrofobici spazi (la visibilità è peraltro scarsa), i quali possono lasciar immaginare le proibitive condizioni che dovettero affrontare i soldati di stanza qui. Dalla parte opposta del tunnel si trova un altro accesso (più agevole rispetto al precedente) che conduce sul versante sinistro della fortificazione (splendido poi il panorama 🌄 che si può apprezzare da questo punto). Accanto al forte sono anche presenti un'area picnic e un utile pannello didascalico 🪧. Da segnalare che la strada per arrivare sul posto è abbastanza lunga (io sono partito dal centro di Arsiè) e pure in pessime condizioni (il tratto finale addirittura è totalmente sterrato). Se ho capito bene, un'associazione di volontari si prende cura, nei limiti del possibile, di questa e altre strutture analoghe; l'auspicio è che naturalmente si riesca sempre più a valorizzare questi inestimabili siti della memoria. NE CONSIGLIO SENZ'ALTRO UNA VISITA 👍. Una poderosa fortificazione a memoria di eventi storici che hanno segnato la vita di molti ma le cui memorie cominciano troppo spesso a svanire. Mai dimenticare. Mai. Una testimonianza di facile accesso. Bella passeggiata che culmina a questo forte della prima guerra mondiale. Restaurato e visitabile, anche se non è così facile farlo a giudicare dagli orari e dalle condizioni. Solo gruppi e solo in determinati e pochi giorni. In ogni caso è già molto affascinante da fuori! La strada è percorribile anche in auto o in moto, non ci sono divieti, prestate solo attenzione a chi ha deciso di farla a piedi! The road to the has got a lot of turns and is sometines a little small, but overall good asphalt. The last piece of the road is "offroad". Il forte è molto bello, e offre un bel panorama tutto intorno, ma è aperto solo qualche weekend all' anno. C'è un area picnic con barbecue e tavoli. She showed us around the labyrinth of the and explained in great detail how it was constructed and used. The visit was only 5€ per person. It was very nice to see historical pictures to help us understand how the changed through the years and imagine vividly how it could have been in the past. Usually they provide guided tours on weekends, mainly in the afternoon but a morning visit can be arranged.
