Nelle vicinanze andate a visitare il Monte Cengio, ne vale la pena. Il è stato ristrutturato e la sua esplorazione permette di gettare uno sguardo nella vita dei soldati Grande Guerra, ma anche di ammirare il maestoso panorama circostante. Con l’aiuto delle descrizioni ad ogni tappa o dell’audio guida (gratuita sul sito), si può apprendere molto sulla storia e sulla tecnologia dell’epoca. Il percorso può essere completato superficialmente in mezz’ora, ma per leggere e ascoltare tutto richiede circa due ore. Al termine si visita il piccolo museo sopra l’edificio all’ingresso, che racchiude reperti di uso quotidiano e l’equipaggiamento dei soldati. Infine si può gustare un piatto caldo e birra artigianale. Si può raggiungere il museo attraverso la strada asfaltata o con una escursione tra i boschi in circa un’ora e mezza. Do not use Google maps though as it will take you to the opposite side of the mountain. Look it up online and follow the websites directions. The area is big and great to explore UN POSTO UNICO Non immaginavo che, anche a distanza di due settimane, il ricordo di quello che ho visto e ho sentito visitando di Punta Corbin sia così carico di emozioni. Abbiamo avuto la fortuna di avere Ilaria (guida eccezionale) tutta per noi e abbiamo girato il in lungo e in largo tra aneddoti di storia, architettura di guerra, vita popolazione che fu dell'Altopiano e che per varie ragioni ora non c'è più. Il è di proprietà privata e questo forse lo rende così magico. Oltre che essere estremamente curato e ben tenuto, si respira proprio la voglia dei proprietari di far vivere e continuare a vivere questo posto, perché lasci un segno nelle generazioni presenti raccontando storie del passato. Non esitate neanche per un attimo, andate e lasciatevi trasportare. E soprattutto chiedete di Ilaria e fatevi accompagnare da lei in questo piccolo viaggio nel passato.
