Apprendere da una guida la storia della famiglia Olivetti, con un percorso che parte dalla prima ditta, passa dall'asilo, continua verso il Residence Anfiteatro e verso l'ultimo immobile, è stato un momento molto interessante e toccante per certi versi. È un edificio semicircolare con una bella vista sul bosco di fronte. È uno degli edifici che fa parte del museo a cielo aperto dell'architettura moderna. Architettonicamente affascinante, parla di un'epoca in cui si poteva e si voleva sperimentare. Peccato oggi sia lasciato andare in maniera preoccupante, a rischio degrado. All'interno sono presenti alcuni alloggi/museo conservati con arredi originali, visitabili (lo consiglio), ma assolutamente non da alloggiarci all'interno. A visionary project of the end of the sixties, when architecture meant experimentation, more than today. A green area sorruonds the apartments that are linked by an underground road, visual impact of the building is minimal, just the terrace with the small domes. A wonderful attempt of imaging a better interaction between houses, facilities and nature. Quello che dovrebbero essere una delle piu' belle strutture architettoniche "il grattacielo orizzontale" del patrimonio UNESCO di Ivrea, in realtà è una residenza (visitabile solo se con la guida) che cade a pezzi. Il tetto è pericolante, pieno di buchi e pezzi mancanti. I cartelli sono nascosti dietro i cestini e la ringhiera è tutto tranne che sicura. Un vero peccato.
