Helpful fitness instructor's. A good experience Have been doing the 1000m rowing challenge got the time down to 6min 5sec. Started at 6min 45 sec. Free weights are good I am improving now I am being shown the right technique. All in all a good place to get fit and meet people. Great facility. I can go with my wife and kids for the family sessions but I also use the gym and swim in the lanes. Staff are always friendly and helpful. The app is useless if you want to do anything other than just book 1 session. The changing rooms used to be unclean and smell but recently there has been a lot more cleaning so I changed from a 3 to a 4 star reveiw. I jave been coming here since the 90s so seen a lot of change. I've been a regular at this gym for years, but my latest experience has really put me off. Recently, I have been approached by a staff member who made a rude comment about my food, saying it "looked disgusting" and that I shouldn't be eating in the gym. I get that there are etiquette rules, but this was the first time I brought food, and I was just trying to grab a quick snack before my busy workday. I checked the memo board and saw nothing indicating that eating was prohibited. It really struck me how unaccommodating the staff were. Instead of having a polite conversation, I was met with a verbal attack, and there was no apology for how I was treated. It felt disrespectful, especially as a paying member. Additionally, I’ve noticed that school children often use the machines, which leaves other members waiting a long time for equipment. This can be really frustrating, especially during peak hours when everyone is trying to get their workouts in. Luckily, there are better gyms in the area that actually have dedicated facilities and lounges for those on a busy schedule where you can have your pre and post workout snacks. If you're serious about your fitness goals, I recommend looking elsewhere. Overall, the unprofessional and impolite behaviour of the staff has made me rethink my loyalty to this gym. It's a shame because there are some nice staff members who try to make this a better place but in general it is not a supportive environment. Tried calling two of your pools today. Herne Bay and Whitstable and both do not have disabled access despite advertised. Both centres have malfunction to the hoists and both are out of action. This is very disappointing and hard to believe for a community and is not inclusive nor updated on the website. I hope something will do done about this ASAP. I'm am just pleased I checked before we arrived as it would have been a wasted and difficult trip. It seems those requiring disability facilties are an afterthought at this centre Membership far too expensive for not much at all!.. chilly (& unsociable) & gym equipment usually busy too. Other gyms and pools in town and close by are much much better and even welcoming. Why cant they be open about membership prices on their website, you have to use an online form and wait to be contacted Poor Baby was far too cold for a baby. My 6 month olds lips, hands and feet were blue! Couldn’t stay for the full hour. Staff at front desk were so slow so we were late getting in anyway and the ‘lifeguards’ in the area were super rude.
