Pekný gejzír s velmi oeknym okolím v centre dediny Herľany. Je tu k dispozícii veľké parkovisko na parkovanie. V letných mesiacoch je parkovosko platené, ostatné mesiace je parkovanie zadarmo. Je tu k dispozícii detské ihrisko, oddychové zóny, park na rekax. Okolie gejzíra je čisté, predpovede erupcie gejzira su presne cca 2 hodinky hore dole. You might look a bit for parking and wait a bit for as it's predicted in 2 hour window. Definitely worth it as it is Slovak national treasure. It was nice to a geyser..It's nice and green place..It take short a while but exciting.. Visited on Friday, July 8, 2022. Eruption time was calculated between 10-12 in the morning. We were waiting there for about 1 hour when it started around 11:30. It was really interesting experience. There is parking place really close, cost is 1.5€ Every time you go there, the never fails to deliver (both metaphorically and literally). The parking lot has been tarmac-ed recently and a brand new kids' playground has been added. Be patient and wait for IT - you'll be more than amazed. This is a really neat chance to see something not so common in nature. Once it is at max height it is very high. Their website tells you the next expected window if 2 hours. In our case we waited the full two hours. Suggestion- go in warmer months with a picnic. Time your visit right and you'll be impressed It is a nice little town with the main attraction being the cold water with a quite strong smelling water. The eruption occurs every 34-36 hours and lasts for about 25 minutes. Height of the eruption is about 20 meters. For eruptions during the night the whole area is well lit. Nobody is left in the dark :-) Since the eruptions are coming in no exact intervals and one might wait up to 2 hours until it starts there are benches around the nozzle to make the waiting more comfortable. It is very nice to see the starting. Little bit stinky, but worth the wait. Because the time is unpredicted, check the town web and plan ahead. Also, there is one restaurant only although might not be available, especially during summer holidays due to kids camps. So keep that in mind. Nearby pizza and grocery store open at 2 PM. Enjoy.
