Wonderful collection of old houses to show off the different architectural styles of southern Germany. Just unbelievable how cozy some of them are. This museum is definitely a must see when you’re in the area. Lovely location, fair prices and the best cake I had for a long time. Compared to other museums of this kind, I missed some crafts like weaving, dyeing (plants), tailoring, glasswork or pottery. Instead, imho they have a strong focus on agricultural machines. This causes my 4 of 5 Stars rating. Parking is closeby, plenty facilities and free of charge. You can access the grounds and some exhibitions with a wheelchair, but most of the living houses are not accessible with a wheelchair. Fun day! Interesting displays, good walk and tons to see. The fall fruit and veggie display was awesome! A great day out. We'll recommended. Kids favourites were the goats and of course the great playground came out tops. Love the place beautiful houses and a lot of history. An amazing location for the whole family. The playground and the steam locomotive (just on some weekends) are the best part for kids.
