Excellent The course here is quite new. Although the layout is good the turf is still maturing. Large putting green bears no resemblance to the course greens which were a lot slower. Nice range with pink balls which were hard. Clubhouse is top quality as was resturaunt and food. Service also very good. While the course needs to mature this facility has great potential. My wife and I played the Val de Marque and Rupilly elements of this 27 hole complex in mid-September .Both courses were played twice on two different mid-week days(Thursday and Friday).Course was quiet on weekdays but is apparently busy at weekends.Great practice facilities immediately adjacent to clubhouse. The course was in excellent condition.Well presented with good signage.The fairways were like carpets-the ball sitting up perfectly on lush well mowed grass.The greens were fast and true.Wayward shot were punished by light rough on a hard baked base(as consequence of less irrigation).Well maintained and variable tees nicely positioned for golfers of all abilities.The white tees are a challenge for even the lowest handicapper. Visually both courses were very pleasing.We liked particularly the opening two holes on Val de Marque.Lots of bunkers on both courses add to visual appeal. Rupilly is more hilly and with more testing greens. The food was wonderful.Busy brasserie for lunch.Excellent fine dining experience in wonderful setting upstairs in the clubhouse in their L'Engrenage restaurant. One recommendation would be to hire a buggy as there are significant walks between green and next tee particularly on Val de Marque. Staff all speak good English (I booked over the phone with no problem) and are friendly and helpful We had an amazing time playing Merignies Golf Course. Incredibly welcoming and relaxed atmosphere in the clubhouse and out on the course. There are 27 holes at this course and we played the La Valutte/Rupilly route which was in great condition with quick greens, manicured fairways and stunning views. We hardly saw anyone out on the course, it was like a millionaires round of golf! The bar was buzzing when we came in with most people sat out on the terrace area which created a really good atmosphere. I would highly recommend visiting this golf club and I plan to go back again to play the other nine!
