The tasting has been a very good experience to savour the flavours of the Crete produce. the knowledgeable staff will guide through history and gastronomy. They will leave you plenty of time to taste each with plenty of explanations of the characteristics and background. We booked the "EUPHORIA" Tour & Tasting and really enjoyed it. Beautiful views, perfect weather, and a friendly, knowledgeable host made the experience memorable. I’d definitely recommend it to anyone visiting Crete! We decided to visit having bought some of their from Maltby & Greek in the UK, and coincidentally we happened to be on a cruise stopping in Heraklion, Crete. It was less than 30 minutes in a taxi. We arrived with the family and received an extremely friendly welcome from the host Georgios. We had a tour of the making process, and one of the vineyards, followed by tasting in the vineyard. Douloufakis produce an excellent range of wines, using different varieties of grape and in different styles. I highly recommend a visit to learn more and explore the different aromas and tastes. My husband and I are visiting Crete for the first time and our time at the Douloufakis family vineyard and winery was one of the highlights of our trip! This family is obviously passionate about their heritage and is committed to producing excellent wines. Their enthusiasm and love for the shines through! We will be drinking Greek in the future with great memories our time here.
