I enjoyed biopetrino, it was a pleasant surprise in the middle of asimi. They have done a great job with their local and food. Although not outstanding by any means, it was a great restaurant. If you find yourself there it probably is the best choice. Incredible meal at bio petrino! We stopped for lunch en route to Plakias and had one of our best taverna meals in our whole trip. The food was incredibly fresh, very big serving and setting was gorgeous out in the garden. The staff were so kind too - highly recommend to eat here! While travelling towards south west of Crete, we were looking for a place for lunch. We've found biopetrino and the reviews made us stop by. We've enjoyed the whole experience, from the hidden nice place in Asimi, to the warm atmosphere and hospitality, and not last the best fresh dishes ( stuffed eggplant, salmon dish of the day, cooked beef in tomato sauce, and sea bream on the grill-all were just perfect). You will definetly want to try if your paths take you around. Nice sweets and frozen raki on the house. Compliments to the cook and to the young nice waiter! The fact that the name of the tavern is theBio Petrino attracted us. We went there for the first time. We were invited in a big party. We had cheese saganaki ! Very the green salad was but the dressing too sweet . The main course was a mixed grill platter. The meat was a bit over done and a bit over salted. I guess this must be a local preference. The service people were very pleasant, polite and efficient. WC it’s nothing much to write about. We did not specifically ordered something organic (bio) so we asked our waiter to tell us what of what we ate was actually certified organic. The reply was quick : “the wine the greens the cheese and the meat” I asked if their meat supplier was certified and he said yes! “The meat and cheese producer Mr. Aerakis was bio certified” I did checked on line and inside the tavern but there was no mention of any bio certification nether for the meat producer nor the tavern. Therefore the tavern’s sign was at best miss-leading !!! Everything in the photo—and additionally the lamb chops—was absolutely delicious. The prices were very reasonable, especially considering the portion sizes and the quality of the food. We sat in a lovely, charming garden and really enjoyed our dinner. We left feeling happy and fully satisfied. super authentic and yummy plates, served with warm service and generous portion. Very price and quality ratio. The yard was cute, very local and relaxing atmosphere ❤️ Very friendly people and service. Already the 2nd time very food!Good advice about the local products. And a delicious dessert from the house with Raki. The service was excellent and the food was absolutely delicious, showcasing authentic flavors.
