Typical tavern in a little village. Limited assortment but everything really tasteful and authentic, including for the covered terrace. Homemade dolmades best ever. No real downsides, they speak English, have incredible food, great surroundings, both inside and the view, and the staff was very friendly. Oh and there was a few cats and a dog. The complimentary sweet and Raki was so good, really appreciate the hospitality! wow, recommended by the owner of our villa this lovely local taverna served up a feast for us. All the meat dishes were beautifully cooked and the huge special salad and stuffed vine leaves meant we were incapable of eating a dessert. Some beer and local wine were gratefully recieved and the simple but effective menu in English which you tick with your choices is ingenious and takes away our fear when ordering. Really enjoyed our first but not our last visit. Best Taverna so far. Very tasty traditional food. Fresh local ingredients. Best galaktoburekos. After having a meal you should take a walk in a very beautiful village. Το ΚΑΛΥΤΕΡΟ παραδοσιακό φαγητό στην Κρήτη ! ! ! Found this gem of a taverner whilst exploring Crete with my family! The food & service was outstanding & very value for money. We shared the grill platter for 4 with a number of sides, the fried courgettes were so so they converted my husband who usually hates them!!! Definitely worth the trip out! 😍 Thank you so much xxx Party of 3 dined on 26/09/24, what a meal, was absolutely delicious and the Greek salad was amazing. My wife tried the sliced zucchini and was blown away. We both tried the snails and they are interesting in a different way but would recommend. Everything about the location is very authentic and the family that own the Tavern should be very proud 😊 of the food they produce. You’re on my list of favourite locations and if I get to come back I’ll be there. Εξαιρετική ποιότητα φαγητού! πολύ καλό φαγητό και εξυπηρέτηση. Είναι μια ταβέρνα που έχουμε πάει πολλές φορές και πάντα όλα είναι πολύ γευστικά! Το μαγαζί είναι επάνω σε μια υπερυψωμένη βεράντα η οποία είναι ανοικτή. Ο χώρος είναι συμπαθητικός. Το φαγητό ήταν σχετικά καλό εκτός την σαλάτα που ενώ είχε πολλά συστατικά ήταν άνοστη. Αυτό που ήταν απαράδεκτο όμως ήταν η συμπεριφορά. Είχαν έρθει 2 γατούλες στο τραπέζι μας και τους δώσαμε λίγο φαγητό. Βγαίνει έξω λοιπόν μια τύπισσα (μάλλον η ιδιοκτήτρια) κραδαίνοντας σκουπόξυλο και σχεδόν ουρλιάζει "Ποιος ταΐζει τις γάτες, απαγορεύεται, Απαγορεύεται, και ξανά ποιος ταϊζει τις γατες Απαγορεύεται" και κυνηγάει τις γάτες με το σκουπόξυλο. Είμαι πελάτης και δεν είμαι υποχρεωμένος να αντιμετωπίζω τέτοια συμπεριφορά και να χαλάει η διάθεση μου. Βάλε μια ταμπέλα "Σας παρακαλώ μην ταΐζετε τις γάτες". Μην αφήνεις τις γάτες να μπαίνουν στο μαγαζί σου αν δεν τις θέλεις. Ελα και πες μου ευγενικά σε παρακαλώ μην ταΐζεις τις γάτες, τις ταΐζω εγώ, ή δημιουργείτε πρόβλημα στο μαγαζί.
