Excellent service, lovely setting, with outside seating. Popped in for a quick bite between house viewings. choice of authentic Italian food, and small plates. and thank you Jordan for the quick and friendly service. local tapas style Italian food! wide range of options, veggie friendly, nice cosy pub setting. Chickpea and spinach balls were excellent. I never write poor reviews. But where do I start... The shower was only a few drops, seriously it was horrendous. The as clean, but very warm, I did get a fan which was fixed to the wall. Total waste of time. But what really upset me, I went out for a meal as I don't like Italian food, so I thought let's get back, so I could have a drink before bedtime, Guess what???? I arrived back at hotel/pub 10.30pm on a Friday night and the bar was closed, I was refused even a bottle as they said "we have cashed up I was going to pay by card. The reply was so quite abruptly.. no was the answer. Breakfast: it's ok for someone on a diet.. 1 very small sausage, 1 back bacon, few mushrooms, a very small tub of bans. Oh and 1 slice of toast. So I know, that I will not be stopping there again, especially when there are a few very hotels about at roughly the same price. We were served by Chloe who was quick, attentive and made sure we were looked after, especially as our child had allergies. The was quick, the food was delicious and we felt well looked after. What a fantastic place for a meal! Tastes to suit everyone, so I was not stuck for a multitude of tasty vegetarian options. Love that they serve small plates of everything so you can mix and match different options. Some of my family also tried the 3-courde festive set today and really enjoyed the variety of dishes served. children's options too. Very reasonable prices for everything too. Toilets clean and pleasant and the staff and here are wonderful. Would highly recommend. place to eat, daytime value and the food choice is huge! Can get busy so definitely book. Only recommendation is that the servers keep an eye on drinks, had to get up and ask for more drinks as they were all empty. Went gorr a family birthday ln 31st of October. Been there long several previous occasions. Penalised us for attending as a group of more than 6 by excluding us from the lunchtime deal. We even offered to seperate into smaller groups. Still refused. Very unaccommodating and frankly, mean! Gave a bad taste to the whole experience. None of us will be returning. Absolute awful experience tonight. Booked a table which was not ready for our arrival and then we were seated on food covered chairs. The was extremely slow, even when all the tables around us had been cleared. Food took 40-50 minutes to be brought out & then when I ordered a brownie it still hadn't come 30 minutes later. There was a complete lack of 'check-ins' throughout and we had to call the waiter over when we were done as we had been waiting for over 20 minutes for any sort of communication/ dishes to be cleared. Because of the lack of 'check-ins' and waiting around we gave up on the brownie & had to ask for the bill at the bar. When I asked to speak to a manager he was completely unapologetic and I felt as though I wasn't taken seriously. Not sure if management has changed since last year when we visited as it was lovely then. We rarely eat out & honestly this was such a disappointment. If we knew we were going to be sat waiting all night we would have gone somewhere else, we had just left another restaurant as they had informed of us their wait on our arrival there. We had a lovely family meal this evening. We were served by Jordan who was very welcoming and helped us dissected the menu. Jordan was kind enough to make some small plate suggestions which were superb. I am extremely socially awkward & hate trying new places with unfamiliar menu’s so Jordan’s assurance that as more appreciated that he probably realise. Atmosphere was great, food was amazing & was fabulous. 10/10 recommend and we were I’ll be back xx Fantastic gem of a place.Staff friendly professional. Rooms exceptionally clean. Food and cocktails yummy. Will return so easy to take the train to Liverpool and return to pesto quiet relaxing . Hi I stayed in 1 at the Dibbinsdale on the 25th and payed £99. The evening of my stay I had a shower in my and the water was barely Luke warm and there was very little water pressure. I ate in the resturant with friends spending £74 which was nice. The next morning went to shower and there wasn't enough water pressure to have a shower at all. I had to boil the kettle and wash in the sink. the taps on the sink were loose and turned when I used them and the lock on the door for the is terrible. you have to lock yourself in with the key and then undoing the lock was very difficult meaning that I was wiggling and shaking the door until I finally managed to release myself. I can't see that being very in the case of a fire! I did mention the problems to a guy and he admitted that they have had problems with the pump and heat and said its because I was on the top floor! That didn't really make me feel better. I am not a complainer but I really don't feel that I have had any value for my money. On Complaining through their website they accused me of being a Liar although the manager did tell me that the local authorities reported a cut in water pressure at the time so how was I lying? Disgusting treatment I will never go back. We love this place; all the staff are attentive. Especially, Kira, Will and Adam. The food is fabulous, value with plenty of choice. We are regulars to the snug and Kira always welcomes you with a smile. Lovely place, staff friendly, food and drinks yummy with lots to choose from. Layla was our server and she was very welcoming and attentive which made our experience here all the better. Kira who made our drinks was a pleasure to talk too and the cocktails she made us throughout the evening were very tasty. Would definitely recommend coming here you won’t be disappointed, we will be returning. Nice place, staff very efficient and friendly, breakfast and a price I’m not complaining but if I could make a couple of suggestions The pillows In 7 resembled pancakes, no height, couldn’t fluff them so very little sleep but if you could change them for a bit more of a quality pillow rooms great The WiFi is non existant, the e bar we’re having trouble with it as well with the pdq, please your in an area where there is no 5g and barely and 4g you can’t have bad WiFi if I could suggest you get one for paying guests and your business usage with a password and the one you have now just for the bar patrons Again I would stay again just a couple of easy fix suggestions Pesto is one of our go-tos for eating out. Always amazing food for price. Customer 10/10- especially to our waiter Jordan! He went above and beyond to make sure we were served quickly and had a sense of humour in the process. The food, the service, the atmosphere - I can’t rate this place enough.
