Really nice pub in the country. Lovely decor. Polite and knowledgeable staff. food... we've visited twice now and had a experience both times. The brisket is delicious! Large onsite carpark. Really quality roast beef, roast and mashed potatoes were excellent. Nice country pub and grill. are very and attentive. Food is and portions are large. Will definitely be back Mike and the team delivered and as usual. Lovely atmosphere always clean, tidy and typical with a smile. Aranchini - I was told the was okay but bland. Lamb Kofta - I was told everything barring the lamb was great. The lamb itself was bland and dry. Butcher's block - Meats were okay. Sausage was good, the ribeye was thin and the chicken was surprisingly the best part. - Mac n cheese was disgusting. It was dry and gluey and smelt of gas fumes.. as though the chef wanted to crisp the top but grill (broiler) didn't ignite. Sauce - peppercorn was so bland but the red wine jus was very n saved the meal. Sticky toffee pudding - 👌 Visited here for lunch today and was pleasantly surprised. Decor is gorgeous and a very varied menu to choose from, including a cocktail menu 🍸 To start, my partner had the black pudding scotch egg and I had the croquettes, both really yummy! Mains were really too. Wait for food wasn't long but the restaurant was fairly quiet. too 🙂 First time diners, what a wonderful experience. The staff, manager Jason and Harvey, were very attentive and and made us feel most welcome. The food was delicious. Highly recommend a visit. We decided to book an evening here to celebrate our 1st Wedding Anniversary and we were not disappointed! Hope and Sophie are delightful front of house staff, with a smile is an understatement. Kudos to Hiro and Wiljon (sorry can't read the name on the card we got) the food was amazing, every bite was delicious. One thing for sure is that we'll be returning customers and we'll have to bring along some of the family too. Thank you for making our day that little more special! Visited today as we'd come not long ago and really enjoyed it. It had such a delicious Sunday roast and apple crumble. However coming today has been really disappointing as the Sunday roast was okay at best with half a cabbage slabbed on my plate. 😂 We didn't touch our beef which is a bizzare experience as we love beef. 😱 I had to pour out the water from my crumble which is a first. 😂 Not worth the money like it used to be which is a shame. Things that are perfect don't need changing. Probably won't visit again now. are lovely & pleasant though. 👏 Four of us came today and for a treat we had the sharing platter for Sunday lunch it was very very indeed the were excellent highly recommend 👍 and staff. Lovely food will be going back. made my husbands amazing, the food was cooked perfectly, our waitress was lovely and the personal touch to my husbands was very thoughtful and made the evening - will definitely be coming again! However the soup was watery and tasteless, and the gravy was terribly salty. The service, being and helpful, was very slow when there weren’t many customers about. Background music a little too loud and too fast a beat, not best for conversations. They did give my son a glass of fizzy and ice cream at the end of his 18th meal, which was appreciated. However, we were hoping for a better experience that we didn’t get this time Fabulous staff, I’ve been here twice now for my mum’s and then for my brother’s birthday. Always get a free glass of champagne and surprise, and my mum even got a card. atmosphere and food, but also brilliant all round. Tell your mates because we need to keep places like this going! We love to visit the Cheshire Grill for any occasion and we are always well cared for. Tonight we came for our 3rd Wedding Anniversary and despite it being a Tuesday night we were still made to feel very welcome and special. Mike and Ross definitely went the extra mile with small touches to make our evening special. Always a fantastic visit and a must recommendation if you’re in the area. Booked a family here for 30, for my daughters 18th last minute and it was absolutely perfect, very accommodating, kind and helpful. The were and nothing was to big for them. Food was spot on. All of us will definitely be returning at some point x We’ve had an night. Food was fab; well presented, hot, fresh and delicious. We had from our hostess too who was very knowledgeable of the steak options and nothing was too much trouble. The little extras made our night even more special. Wow! What can we say absolutely perfection in both and food. Having been a chef for well over 20 years hand down the best steak I’ve ever eaten. Looking forward to eating here again The chicken satay skewers were warm at best, when we complained the waitress explained the pink meat had been in a water bath for 3 hours? So to mot worry about food poisoning. Burger cremated and looked like it had been reheated. Girlfriends fillet steak looked the same and the dauphinoise had no sauce and were also burnt and dry. Left without paying for the food. Didn't even touch the mains... Valentines day ruined! This place is fabulous & been going many years ! Carpeted dog area , food & went today for our 29th wedding anniversary & had complimentary Prosecco, we had the salt & pepper calamari & a sirloin & ribeye steak for mains , they have a app that you collect points every time you dine & we had accumulated enough to get all this for free & 2 large glasses of Shiraz ! Mike is a manager & Chris the chef also gave us a complimentary fruit & icecream , highly recommend this place ! Had an unbelievable experience at the Cheshire Grill for Sunday lunch. Visited yesterday, was very slow, Waitress was rude, fillet steak was undercooked, starter was good, some of the mains were forgotten, when it did come out it was the wrong meal. Drinks was slow. 3 options on the menu had sold out. The pub looks run down and the look overworked and uninterested, needs an injection of life into the pub. We’re in town from North Carolina and we enjoyed this restaurant thoroughly. Mike is extremely hospitable and was able to give each of us a laugh. Every entrée each of us ordered was cooked to perfection. The music was great. The scenery was beautiful, and we even had some pretty drinks on the side. Can’t leave out the dessert!! The Biscoff cheesecake is amazing. Mike wears many hats!! Definitely marking Cheshire Grill as a local favorite !!
