We did tell them it was poor but they wasn’t really bothered!!!!! The staff are friendly, have extensive menu knowledge, and work very hard indeed to cater for large volumes of people. We used to visit regularly many years ago, but after new management things took a turn for the worse - it's great to see that the Green Lodge is back on track and doing well. We'll be returning for certain. Food was outstanding. Beer selection could be better and the QR code didn't work for the wine my wife wanted so we never got the 10% off. We had booked a table for 2pm on a Thursday expecting this to be a relatively quiet time and we're surprised to find the car park full when we arrived. Parking on the road was fine though and there were plenty of free tables in the restaurant. Staff were pleasant and welcoming and we found a very nice table inside the dining room. We ordered fish and chips and sausage and mash. Both were excellent and service was very good. We will certainly return, and recommend to friends and family. Just like last Christmas eve dinner last year, the manager and staff bent over backwards to make everything perfect for us. Right through from the servers to the bar staff, everyone is polite, efficient and professional. And of course, the food was perfect and excellent value for money. I honestly could not rate our experience at the Green Lodge with less than a ten. Well done to all the team and we'll see you next year. Lee Brought my sister for her birthday treat. (My first time). Fabulous from start to finish. Our greeting was lovely, the food and drink spot on. We all thoroughly enjoyed the visit, shame I live a long way away. Didn't catch the waitress name, she was amazing (dressed up as a rabbit). So warm and friendly, a real asset to your establishment. We had the most wonderful afternoon at The Green Lodge ! The sun was shining, and their garden truly lived up to its reputation—hands down the best beer garden in Hoylake. Even though it was exceptionally busy, the staff never missed a beat. They were super helpful, friendly, and made us feel really well looked after. It’s rare to find a place that gets the atmosphere, service, and setting all spot on, but The Green Lodge absolutely nailed it. Can’t wait to come back Great array of beers on cask and draught, thoroughly enjoyed the guinness too. Furthermore we came in for some of the “Bar bites” advertised online and they did not disappoint! My wife also had a lovely espresso martini!
