Getting here: when you turn right off the winding road, you can go straight down into a old-school Spa place (buildings) or make a left onto a smaller bad to get here. Make the left and drive real slow. As in my photos, you can really trash your car here! Parking: unless you're in a real 4x4, about 150m up the road, you can park by the olive trees before the drops steeply. The signs say "don't litter" in Italian. Now, 100m down the hill and the and fun is at the bottom to the right through the reeds. Don't be tempted to settle down too soon. Go at least 250m to get to the actual hot springs. Beautiful place and worth the in the mud and across the river to get there. Bring proof shoes. 2 hours maximum should be good. When you see the split down to go to paid thermal spa stay to the left to get to the parking. It's amazing! After crossing a small stream, you can reach to the hot spring. It's an unforgettable memory to enjoy this hot spring. Nice warm and on warmer days the creek itself is nice to cool down in. Do not go to the lower car park on the car tho! Saw two different cars get stuck on the up (it is badly damaged). Due to the poor conditions to the actual lot, everyone parks on the and it is quite dangerous and annoying to get a spot. Beware, entrance is not that easy as I've thought before my visit. You need to pass a cold stream with level from over your knees up to mid-thigh, depending which path you will choose. The one that leads through swamps is shallower, but a bit longer. It's a good adventure, but you'll need to be well prepared for that 🙂 Amazing pool, accessible by car, you can park (there was plenty of space) but the is not in best condition… After park there is a short by the river, which you have to cross to access the spa. The is very hot but there were only few locals when we visited. They kindly advised us to dip in, because the is supposed to be good for skin. Would recommend anyone on their trip to Sicily! First part big shallow is for families as well the second more ancient. The third, a cave (sauna) is more LGBTQI friendly with steam coming out of the rocks. The next is larger compared to the previous ones with even a fall, sourcing from the organized SPA just above the river. The thermal springs in Segesta are a hidden gem, but here are a few tips to make your visit easier: 1. Access Roads: The coming directly from the man-made spa thermal area (west of the spa) is in very poor condition. If you don't have a suitable vehicle, it's better to park higher up and down. Alternatively, there's another parking area south-east of the springs, accessible via a turnoff from the Strada Statale 113. From this parking area, you'll need to a bit, but then there's no need to cross any streams. 2. Thermal Pools: There’s one main that’s the most popular and usually has the most visitors. If you're looking for more privacy, follow the small trails leading to smaller pools. These are less crowded but often frequented by nudists, so be prepared for that. I counted four pools with genuinely hot water, including a small grotto functioning like a steam bath. The to the furthest takes about 5 minutes—no long hikes required! 3. Sulfur Smell: The sulfur smell isn’t overwhelming and is strongest near the main pool. 4. Friendly Dog: A stray dog often accompanies visitors—it’s very friendly and adds a bit of charm to the experience. 5. Accessibility: The paths and access points are manageable for anyone with normal mobility. You don’t need hiking boots. Regular shoes, flip flops or barefoot are fine! Overall, it’s a fantastic spot to relax in nature, especially for those who appreciate a natural, rustic vibe—if that’s not your style, the nearby official, man-made thermal spa might be a better fit!
