Great show of the Analogues in the beautiful City Theater (Stadschouwburg Haarlem). The interior of this theater is amazing, with lots of attention to detail. The staff is friendly and helpful. Curtains! :-) This is not review about any play since it would make no sense reviewing the theater in its productions. However, it is a beautiful building with comfortable seating but… if you’d consider a higher seat to get a nice view: the first row on either balcony has an integrated censorship in form of a very annoying handrails. It turned the 2 hours of comfortable enjoying a play into a challenging yoga exercise for the neck and back. To nuance it a bit: after contact with the Schouwburg they told me the handrails is necessary due to safety requirements and the seats are priced lower for this reason. Beautiful building, excellent acoustics. Beautiful Opera. Super nice small old fashioned but in a nice way playhouse with traditional look and feel. Highly recommended to watch shows here especially stand up or other small plays. Very nice and old theater. Comfortable seats not all seats have good sight on the hole stage. First time to the theater and I plan to go back again and again and again! Beautiful theater where every seat is a good seat and the size makes for an intimate setting. We saw the Ish Dance Company and they put on a beautiful and strong performance with such fluidity.
