It was only a short 5 to 10 minute walk from the Barabach village, either on the main path (more comfortable) or through the vineyard (steep and a bit dangerous as I almost slipped on the gravel). The entry to the was free and after climbing a couple of floors we were rewarded by a stunning view of the village, Rhine valley and the Barabach castle. As can be seen by my over exposed shots the light would probably be better in the afternoon for photos. A wonderful observation tower. It's not possible to climb on the top floor but even though it has a beautyful view to the city. There is a bench on the lower floor, where it's possible to take a break because climb to the isn't the easiest. There is also a huge wineyard nearby where it's possible to have a nice walk. Although overcast & raining on the day of our visit, it was well worth the walk up to the Postenturm for the views over the & along the Rhein river.
