Still, a beautiful backdrop along the Rhine River. Nice but lost amongst it’s neighbors Not open to public but worth the walk through the vineyard to get up close pics. We found Furstenberg purely by chance while we were driving towards Lorch. We visited it to check out the and I have to admit that it was more fun than visiting the regular castles. We had to hike for 15mins and it was fairly simple. Once we reached the castle things started getting interesting. was beautiful and was fun to explore. The only structure that was standing without any structural damage was the tower. However, the access to it was blocked. The is covered with thorny foliage and at points would require you to climb some steep surface. Also, if you are planning to visit there, make sure you wear a proper shoe with grip and apply some bug repellent. The had a beautiful view of the Rhine river from top similar to the other castles in the area. Jus be mindful that the doesn't get visitors so make sure you let someone know that you are visiting that place Incase if you end up having an accident. Interesting ruins with very good view on the river and the town. You will need to walk up the hill for 20 mins before getting to the Castle. It’s quite fun to climb on the various part of the Castle. Interesting place to visit. I visited on a Sunday morning. There were very few people there which I prefer. Be aware...It was a bit of a challenge to climb up if you were physically challenged. The road to the location is marked for farm equipment only so I walked to the castle. However, I did see someone else drive to the castle. Not sure if I recommend since there is little space to park. Really enjoyed the hike up to Fürstenberg Castle ruins. The trail was peaceful and not too hard just enough to feel like a proper little adventure. Once you reach the top, the views are absolutely worth it. The ruins have a quiet, almost magical feel, and looking out over the landscape was such a nice reward after the trek. Great spot for a relaxed hike with a bit of history at the end. Ruined Fürstenberg Castle is an escape where time seems to stand still. The historical remnants create an enchanting atmosphere, making it a perfect place to spend a day disconnect from the world. Amidst the echoes of the past, one can truly forget the hustle and bustle, finding solace and a refreshing perspective. An ideal destination for a serene day of exploration and contemplation.
