Now this is a totally subjective review. If you like AC/DC, Metallica, Iron Maiden, ... then you will like this place. Music is loud enough to enjoy but not too loud. Some good cocktails including house specials such as IRN Maiden and Teen Spirit. Friendly staff. Well worth a visit. Stew and Moira are both amazing and want you to have the best time. Next stop on our bar crawl Now this place was me. Vinyl records, posters of legends, indie and rock tunes flowing like nectar. A lovely lady took us to the bar, got us our drinks, and honestly, I was tempted to move in. Finished our drinks before I got too sentimental, then onwards! Remember that pub that had the best best juke box in the 90s? The one where an average Thursday night for a couple of pints turns in to a full-on juke box sesh. Where everyone in the pub is the DJ and are choosing absolute belters all night? Well that's The Bands. Not a juke box, but an equally genius concept - you just fill out a card with what you want to hear and the DJ plays them. This is bar dedicated to playing indie, rock, metal, brit-pop, grunge, electronica, Northern soul, you name it - if it's real music you'll hear it. *AND THEY PLAY THE WHOLE SONG !!* All ages, nationalities - holiday makers, locals and workers gather at the Bands. The staff Moire, Magoo, Spiros and Fil are incredibly welcoming and attentive hosts. Not many people can mix chatting, dancing and getting the drinks poured and delivered.They're a stealth team! Family friendly, solo traveller friendly, all ages friendly- and open til the wee hours. A must for anyone staying on the island of Kos! Great bar, playing great music. Awesome service.
