Very friendly bar and the only one in Marmari that is fairly busy most nights. The staff were very kind and cocktails were very good and reasonable at about €6-7. They also have a couple of pool tables and three dart boards to use. They put on any sport you ask for and Premier League games were always shown. People drifted in about midnight to 1am so it stayed open late too which was great. A good spot to have a drink and keep entertained. Whilst holidaying in Marmari, my husband and I wanted to watch the Liverpool match. We had seen the signs at Alexander bar advertising Premier league so headed there and were not disappointed. The chairs are padded with the hugest cushions ever and are super comfy and the match was shown on 3 screens throughout the bar, the largest of which was huge! We were served our very reasonably priced drinks quickly by the friendly staff who also brought us free bar snacks throughout the night. There is a lovely fountain inside the bar which has terrapins in, all of which appear happy and healthy. We would both highly recommend a visit to Alexander bar whilst visiting Marmari. We came here as it was open late and myself and my partner had a darts tournament going on. Drinks reasonably priced and cocktails great. We visited this place after searching for a shisha bar. At the counter, we spoke with the male bartender (possibly the owner), who was very polite. He explained the different flavors and prices in detail, and we chose one option. He then invited us to take a seat, mentioning that we would receive the menu afterwards. A few minutes later, a female waitress came to take our order. We told her that we only wanted the shisha, but she insisted – in a rather strict and unfriendly tone – that this wasn’t possible and that we had to order a drink as well. Although we felt pressured, we chose one drink. She then continued with “aaand…”, which confused us, and we explained that we would like to share the drink. She responded that each person had to order their own. I explained that nobody had mentioned this condition before. Instead of clarifying the policy in a friendly manner or showing flexibility (given that it was unclear from the start), she became visibly irritated. Her tone escalated further, and she finally said, “I’ll ask one more time, do you want the shisha?” in a very pushy and disrespectful way. At that point, we no longer felt comfortable and decided to leave. Lovely cocktails, great service and open late. Has food options. Some small terrapins in the water feature at the entrance. Me and my boyfriend spent the majority of our evenings here the past week. We loved it! The team are really friendly, especially the lady (I'm so sorry we never got your name!) who went out of her way to make our whole experience there great, the drinks are fab and the vibe is very relaxed, but still a vibrant place to be. I miss it already!! Will definitely be coming again. What a great place to end each day with Margaret and the family.
