Absolutely magnificent and nicknamed the "village in the sky of Provence," Tourtour is a site classified among the most beautiful villages in France. Perched at an altitude of 635 meters, it is a medieval that preserves vestiges of its fortifications, narrow streets, covered passages, numerous fountains where the water sings, ancient facades, the walls of the 13th-century medieval Château de Laval tell the story of several of the village's rich past, its Clock Tower and campanile. The 17th-century castle, framed by four corner towers (some of which are pepperpots), now houses the town hall, the tourist office, and the post office. In front of the town hall are exhibited two sculptures by the painter Bernard Buffet, who lived in Tourtour for a long time and ended his days there ... Great to spend a day. In the center is a great market square with some restaurants and bars. Especially the view is absolutely amazing! Beautiful sleepy town in Provance. Very picturesque, but rather for a short visit Tourtour is really le dans le ciel. Nice, cozy and just wonderfull to have been able to spend a few days there in appartement Victor.
