Wonderfully beautiful shingle/sand reached by steep steps (come on people, pick up your dog poo). Quite small, limited free parking and pub pay parking reached by a steep road. Well worth a visit. A quiet secluded just off the Torquay to Teignmouth coast road, can be accessed off the main road via Steep Hill which goes directly downhill to the car park but you must come back uphil via Brim Hill, both routes are well signposted. There is a council car park with a car height restriction at the entrance and it is pay and display. Once parked up the path leads to a flight of stairs which go down to the so there is no access for wheelchairs. The cafe and public toilets are closed due to covid19 but you can still access the with a mini waterfall, beware of rockfall on which offers gorgeous views out to sea and the Dorset coast on the horizon. Beautiful and secluded, tranquil sea perfect for a swim. Some stairs need to be taken down and up from the parking lot. In the summer season there is a cafe overlooking the beach. They rent paddle boards too. Really love this off season. It can be quite dramatic when the sea is rough. Not suitable for everyone, due to the many steps leading down to it. It has a cafe at the beach, and a wonderful pub serving great food within walking distance Beautiful clean and water, steep climb back to car park but well worth it for the views. Being holiday time from school but quite and seemed to be dog friendly great for them to have a swim. Is a lovely hide away. Beautiful walk down there as you can see from my picture but I think is more for adult or teens not for kids! Excellent for kayaking or paddle board. Is a nice caffe there and you can hire staff for the water. Very little car park on the top so you must arrive early. Lovely but a steep walk down from the carpark. Lots of steps down to the beach. Quite small, but wasn't busy. Very secluded. Lots of rocks and beautiful views. Water very clear. Sand had small pebbles but otherwise quite soft. Really nice and relaxing. No facilities open. Didn't have to pay in carpark. Beautiful beach, but very small and a bit of a trek. When the tide is in there is very little space and most people were on the rocks, concreted area and at the cafe. Not a lot of shade, so would recommend bringing your own. The parking only takes coins. You can exchange at the cafe by the beach. You can also get cash back at the pub, but it doesn’t open until midday.
