Nice little selection of shops, restaurants etc some of which look right over the water with stunning views. There is even a fresh fish shop tucked away selling an amazing selection of all the fish you could want. My favourite bit is if you get bored of the view of boats just sit on the wall on left and you look over miles of coastline. So you have the choice of both. It has a small market in a Sunday as well. If you want somewhere a little more peaceful then you'll love it here. Lovely harbour. So peaceful. It's a lovely bustling busy place with lots to watch whilst enjoying a drink, meal or ice cream Love this old fishing hair with a brilliant pub right on the quayside. Walk under the arches towards the long golden sand beaches and enjoy the views right across the bay to Thatchers Rock in Torquay. If you’re interested in Piers and amusement arcades, then check out the famous Pier .. candy floss and all!! Paignton is a wonderful place for families with gorgeous beaches, outdoor play park, there's something for everyone my only negative is the toilets near the Pier, 30p entry (which I don't mind) but they are the filthiest, stinking toilets I have ever seen, I was waiting for the creature of the deep to jump out of the brown minging water and bite my behind. Smashing little always worth a visit.
