We stayed in a lodge for a week. Site is well maintained, scenic and peaceful. So quiet, no road noise or any other noise apart from birds, and the occasional thwack of a ball. We didn't use the club house facilities so can't comment on them. Location is a little bit out of the way, but we knew this and it didn't bother us. Easily accessible to King's Lynn, Downham Market, Wisbech. The first time I had played this course, it was a shame it was flooded but still just playable. Most holes are wide open, but a few are narrow, and you can quite easily get into trouble. It was a great trip in one of the luxury lodges in Tydd st Giles. Highly the swimming pool only has adults so children need to have swim vests to use it . place Good course and leisure centre accommodation on site. pool and spa area nice cafe and bar and restaurant. Friendly staff. The place itself was lovely, but the upside down house was a bit tired. The rooms were a good size, but needs a bit of work on the place. The stairs creaked, which was annoying. The balcony was lovely, but the wood needs a repaint, and none of the outside lights worked, which was inconvenient. We have stopped at the country club before but in a cabin and we would probably revert back to staying in a cabin again. Had a stay here while on a work trip. The lodge was beautiful and the staff were really nice. Special shout out the the chef who went the extra mile with talking and entertaining our 2 year old daughter. Unfortunately wasn't able to play the course, but it looked like fun and will definitely try to make it back to play there. Fantastic place great Staff brilliant course 👍 Absolutely loved HoneyBee Lodge! Highly for a nice weekend away The facilities are fantastic and the area is just beautiful. Such a birthday weekend surprise. Will be back next summer for definite! This is a review of the course only. There has been a much needed change in course management and it shows. The fairways were well cut and getting definition, bunkers were huge and well asked. The greens were tricky and as it was the end of maintenance week when we played, a little bobbly. However, I would a visit. Keep up the good work. If you’re coming here for a short family retreat, save your money and don’t bother coming. My family and I came here for a 2 day retreat over the Christmas period and it was the most disappointing and worst run place I have ever been to. We contacted the leisure department multiple times before booking whether the pool, sauna and steam room were going to be open on the 27th, and when we arrived they decided to shut everything with no prior warning. The pool is disgusting and unusable, we were told we could use the other facilities and when we returned 20 minutes later they had decided to shut everything. Staff are disinterested, no empathy towards paying customers. Please read other reviews before thinking of booking. This place is a shambles. Course in very poor condition, and the £40 charged for a round was way too expensive for the conditions. Tee boxes were rough with little in the way of a level and stable stance. Fairways were patchy, with large areas of bare ground and lots of mini potholes. Greens were like modern council estate roads, where getting a reasonable roll was near on impossible. The bunkers had little form with the sides in various states of collapse though (strange as it may seem, there was at least a decent layer of sand in them) Could be a good course if a bit of work was put into the upkeep, but I think funds are being aimed elsewhere on the estate. A golfing club not geared for children. Added cost of using the gym and pool for £30. Standard accommodation, clean but basic and the cleaner was very friendly. Just got home from a round. Course was in great condition for the time of year and some good improvements being made would it and will be back to play again Booked a round of as I used to play here regularly about 8 years ago. What a shame that the course is now in such bad condition, tee boxes and the majority of the greens are in extremely poor condition. I won’t be playing again nor would I for golf, such a shame as otherwise it is a nice facility. Loved the accommodation, great angling pond too.
