You can tell they were given an adequate budget by the authorities, because the facilities are top notch, nice (temporary) exhibitions and of course the well presented remains of the villa itself. The best mosaics have been moved to the National museum in Madrid, which is disappointing, but understandable at the same time. The digital video animation of the villa, of high quality, is a bit overdone with the "sweet butterflies" and over the top camera movements. The audio tour provides little to no information. The visitor could have been taken on an educational journey about Roman villas in general and more specifically this villa and its context. Whilst everything else is so great about this museum, we were a little surprised about this. Muy buen sitio para ir a ver. If only a bit shallow, but I do apreciate very much that sites like this are showed to the public and thus history preserved. Well done!
