Such a tranquil with plenty of parking. Seeing up close was amazing. Also cats, ducks and chickens all living peacefully together. The Plaka is a different option. It's about a 30-40-minute drive from the city center. You can enjoy the coolness of the forest, take a walk, see the up close, and even feed them. Little with peacocks, ducks, chicken and cats. You can get animal feed for a donation and walk around. Perfect for kids and a great spot when close to the airport. The road is a bit bumpy there, but doable with a car if you drive slowly. There‘s also a lot of spots to park. Wow! What a beautiful place and experience. We were staying in Tigaki and hired a car, we drove down to plaka as it was reccomended to us by hotel staff and Google reviews said to take cat food for the strays that live there. It was easy to find using Google maps and loads of parking. everywhere! We went in May and the peahens had their chicks and lots of them, they also love cat food biscuits! They will eat them right out if your hand and the babies are very tame. We also say ducks and ducklings who also ate from your hand. The itself is beautiful and a nice walk around. We then came across one pure white peacock deeper in the away from the mayhem of the feeding frenzy and he was grateful for some food. Stunning and I definitely recommend visiting and it's free. Wonderful place on the island. Everyone should have been here. This is not a zoo, but the great outdoors. However, the animals certainly get support, especially if they are ill. A special place to visit if you like :) A lot of different ones to see. There was also a very nice lady who sold some food which you can give to the peacocks. She uses the money for the benefit of the so it's definitely worth it. A very special experience. Good quick stop for 5 or 10 minutes. You can see alot of in one place, but be aware you will step on bird poop or maybe cat poop. Then your rent a car will smell bad some time. The path to the is truly beautiful and makes the walk well worth it. Once inside, you’ll find plenty of peacocks, ducks, and geese that you can easily feed. Bread and cookies for feeding are available for €5 from a kind elderly gentleman who sits at a small table and shares them with visitors. The whole place feels calm, cool, and relaxing – a perfect spot for a short escape into nature.
