My friend bought a pastry from the front but we also sat down at a table waiting for someone to take our order for a meal or drinks. We waited and watched as others who came in were approached and orders were taken. It wasn't until about 20-30 minutes later that someone asked me if i would like anything but by then, I was too upset to order so I just left. Nice cozy corner place in Andermatt. Good cakes, pastry, salty foods and drinks. The food selection is limited. You're limited to paninis, soup, salad, and pasta. But the quality of the food is great! We ordered the regular salad and spinach tortellini with pesto sauce. Both dishes were delicious. Expensive, but what can you do, you're at the Alps. If you can sit by the window then your experience will be even better. The view is quite amazing, and the cafe only about a ten minute walk from the train station. BRING CASH! This place is cash only. I took away a star because they charged us $4.50 per cup of tap water. We paid $9.00 for two cups of tap water!! If you want good coffee, this isn't your place. I came here for a cup of after a rainstorm and realized they don't really make the coffee. The pastries are pretty good, and the food is ok. The serving sizes are also questionable. It was pointed out to us that maybe the place is too expensive for us - that was based on our nationality. Shame! Would you like some bad inattentive service?
